Up for auction is a like new. Made in the UK, Celestion Vintage 30 G12, 12" 16 ohm speaker. With the plan to build an external speaker cabinet. I bought this speaker NOS from a person who had bought it in a set of 2 new speakers several years ago but he had never used this one. When I received the speaker it was in pristine cosmetic condition and perfect working order. I have checked the serial numbers on the speaker and the first 4 numbers(13JC) of this speaker dates it as: Sept. 13, 1993. This indicates that this speaker was manufactured nearly a decade before Celestion moved their Vintage 30 production to China. I did install it in my amp to test it and I used it in my amp for about 4-6 hours of low volume(never a volume level above 4 on my amp) playing time which isn't even long or loud enough to properly break in the speaker. ... moreAfter removing the speaker I've kept it in the shipping box it arrived in and this speaker remains in pristine.
