Up for auction is this very nice VINTAGE Metal/Steel 78 RPM Record/Album Storage Box/Carrying Case/Tote from the 1940s. Overall. This piece is in very good condition for it's age and use. It even still has the index files that separate up to 50 records! The box is 2-tone ~ the top is a dark brown while the bottom is a lighter brown. The handle is still nice and firm and the latch works as it should. There are a few scratches as you might expect from a piece this old. It has been in storage for many years so it could use a good, thorough cleaning. It measures approximately 10 3/4" wide by 6 1/2" deep by 11" tall. This is a tin container along the lines of an old lunch box. It has a hinged handle and lid with latch closure. The box measures 5 5/8" x 4 3/4" x 2 1/4" without the handle. It is dated 1999. VINTAGE RARE Loose Wiles Biscuit Co Metal Storage Container For Home Use Nabisco
VINTAGE Loose-Wiles Biscuit Co. Went on to be addressed as the Sunshine Biscuit Co. Nabisco.They had these“milk box” shaped containers designed to hold dry goods, crackers and the like. This is one of those containers. Sound piece however aged in the art area. Box is 10”x10.5”x11.5” with a hinged lid. There is a crescent shaped reflective window that has remnants of their advertising. I can make out the words Biscuit Co and the word biscuits again. The lower rectangular section is attached and undamaged glass( or plexi, I cannot tell, I think glass) The bottom is embossed metal to read The Loose Wiles Biscuit Co.with 4 patent dates spanning 1906 to 1909. Exterior color is original green paint. Inside is oxidized metal, a deep graphite color but NOT rusted. I see a speckle or so, but for the most part its clean and nice. This is a nice light brown vintage metal storage locker. It has three drawers on top and cabinet with shelf on bottom that locks with a key. Wonderful compact size! It can be used as a nightstand. Side table or just about anything. It is 30" tall, 12.5" wide and 10" deep. Has some minor scratches, wear and dings, but not bad. Also some light rust on drawer handles. This is a lot of 6 various metal containers featuring Curious George. You will receive the following: Small 3.75" x 3 1/8" x 1 1/16" box. Hinged with handle. Dated 1999. May have had a latch for closing. But I am not sure. Stays closed on it's own. There are no dents and artwork is in good condition. A heart shaped tin that is 7 1/8" across and 1 1/2" deep. Lid removes completely. It was a candy tin containing Necco Sweethearts. This tin is in very good condition. A 7 3/4" x 6" x 2 7/8" lunch box. It has a hinged lid with a latch closure and hinged handle. This box is not dated. It does have some very light scuffing on the outside. And some rust issues on the inside. The next is made along the order of a small picnic basket. The lid removes completely and there are 2 folding handles.
