This book measures 12 ¼” by 9 ¼” is ½” thick, and contains 272 pages full of stories, facts, and illustrations. The cover of the book is the same illustration(the illustration is signed C.S. Reinhart) as the dust jacket and the binding is black with white lettering. There is a Foreword in this book written ... moreby Charles S. Morgan, President, National Fire Protection Association(in 1976) There was a gorgeous 8x10 print tucked in the front of the book titled: THE LIFE OF A FIREMAN which we are including- not sure if it came with the book or not, but it does now. This book is in near mint condition with the only damage being to the Dust Jacket. There is a small 2 inch tear at the bottom front corner of the DJ. A bit of wear around the top and bottom edges, and some ink smudge in the word Paul on the spine. I think I might be the first person that opened the pages of this book– and I only did so to check the condition and to take the pictures. There are no torn, ripped, stained, bent, or missing pages and the book is odor free. Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have– I am always happy to answer! German 3/4 BBb Tuba: Lyons Monarch (rebadged 3/4 York Master) w/ yamaha buttons
Lyons Monarch BBb Tuba. Made in Germany(stamped"Germany" on the receiver) Except for the Yamaha finger buttons. This is a 3/4 BBb York Master in every sense. I don't have experience with"the York sound" But it seems like the pronounced harmonics are spaced further apart(like on a clarinet) in the contra octave, although it's still very much a tuba sound. I won't know for sure until I look at the freq. spectrum. It is known that York Master instruments were made by Böhm& Meinl after American designs. Mouthpiece receiver is the traditional Euro/Besson shank(seen on pre-80s BBb Bessons) Although it doesn't insert as far. I still use an American shank Helleberg. Condition: Plays and sounds good. All slides and valves move freely. Finish is worn. Dings. Scratches and small dents throughout and evidence ... moreof dent removal. Leadpipe has a small bend(see pic7) If interested. And don't mind waiting a few extra days, I can see if the local brass tech can do a small improvement) No cracks or rips in the bell.

The lid has One bird on each side sitting on a branch with flowers and leaves on it. On the bottom it say Lyons Silver CO. Quadrouple Plate with the number 714. Lyons NY Decorated 1 gallon Stoneware Crock Jar
The dark blue floral is well balanced with eye appeal. It covers most of the front of this 1 gallon beauty. There are two small shallow chips on the inside/outside of the lip. Also shallow base edge chips that do not show on display. These are visible in the pictures. Otherwise there are no cracks or repairs that I know of. There are a few specs of fry; barely noticeable. This LYONS ROOT BEER tin diecut sign measures 44 1/2" by 12" The writing on the bottom says"NO 305 STOUT SIGN CO. ST. LOUIS. MO. This is the same design as the ACL bottle. As seen in the pictures. The layered paint on this sign is in good shape and shows no faded colors. The pictures also show a little rust along the edges and at the nail holes. The last pictures shows the back side of the sign. This colorful sign displays very well.
