Description Wonderful antique Ransom Randolph wood traveling dental cabinet/ case. This great old case is made of oak. And has not been refinished to my knowledge. It has seven drawers: the top three drawers have pop-up divided trays for dental instruments; the bottom four have divided compartments, and include several removable storage pieces. Brass plate on top says“The Ransom Randolph Co. Toledo, Ohio/ Pat. Apl’d For” Case measures approximately 13” tall. 11” long, and 9” wide. The hardware appears to be original, and it has most of an original key that is partially broken(the head is missing) I have not tried to use the key, as I’m afraid to push it all the way inside the lock for fear of not being able to get it back out. Offered is this charming solid wood shaving stand with beveled mirror and storage drawer. We believe this to be walnut. This cabinet can rest on its four feet. Or it can be hung on the wall. This one has a wire hanger on the back for hanging. The piece has two shelves. The wider one is 6 inches deep and appears above the drawer while the narrow shelf is 3 inches deep and appears below the carved top piece, above the mirror. The shaving cabinet stands 21.5 inches tall and measures 9 inches wide. It is almost 7 inches deep at the deepest point. This piece dates to the Victorian era. Late 1800s or early 1900s. It is a fine piece of cabinet work. This stand is in very good condition for its years. However. Some minor flaws need to be mentioned. The drawer pull, which appears to be brass, has been broken, as you can see if you look closely at ... morethe photos. The wood back has split near the edge, where nails have been inserted. The finish on the beveled mirror shows some small imperfections to the silver. There is a small metal fixture attached to one side of this stand. Antique Oak 4 Drawer Library Bureau File Cabinet C1890
This is a 4 drawer oak file cabinet paneled on all sides measuring 14 1/2 Wide. 27 deep, and 51 1/2 high. It was purchased in 1976 from an Upstate NY antique dealer specializing in restoring antique file cabinets. They thought it was a C 1890 cabinet manufactured by Library Bureau which patented them in 1892. It uses a bottom wood slider which predates the side sliders by a number of years. I don't know much about the cabinet except what the dealer stated and what I found on-line under: officemuseum.com/filing_equipment_cabinets.htm and page down to Vertical Files. You are bidding on an antique hard to find two drawer mission style lawyer filing cabinet. Has the metal or brass pulls one of which is bent and the metal rod running through the inside of the drawer. Has some of the old file holders inside as well. This is a long cabinet measuring appr. 28"L x 15" W x 25" H. The top has some seperation near the front as shown in the photos and some ink stains. On the top near the front there are a couple of tiny spots where the wood is missing where it may have been dovetailed. The inside drawers are dovetailed together. The drips and scuffs give this a nice patina. The drawers also have the metal plates to label the drawer contents. The best way to describe the condition is to view the many photos. This vintage industrial oak card catalog cabinet has a lot of drawers. 25 in all. Each of the drawers measure 11" D x 3 5/8" W x 2 5/8" T inside. The cabinet as a whole measures 23 1/4" L x 13 1/2" D x 19 5/8" T. One side and the back of this cabinet are made from different material than the top and other side- this cabinet was likely a segment from a bank of these organizers.
