Hewlett Packard Agilent 8485A RF power sensor 26.5 GHz SMA for repair or parts
This sensor has been in my lab for a while and I never did get around to sending it in for repair. I simply never really needed this particular sensor for my measurements. I am not certain where I obtained it but it has been in my lab for quite some time. I did test it the other day on my power meter and it is defective. Since I have no longer need to measure power at 24 to 26 GHz now. I have decided not to send it in for repair. Physically it is in very good condition. I broke the seal on it hoping to find something very simple that was keeping it from operating correctly. That was not the case. Everything look perfectly normal which told me the head had been blown, most likely from too much RF before I obtained it. The rating of the head from Agilent is 7 uW to 100 mW or-30 dBm to 20 dBm. The calibration chart on the back shows values for ... more2 GHz to 26.5 GHz. Of course that will change once it has been repaired and then re-calibrated.
