Do you love a challange? Maybe tearing your hair out? If so. You'll just love this thing! Here is an HP 8657A RF Signal Generator. It's supposed to put out an RF signal from 0.1 to 1040MHz. This one definitely does NOT do that! Oh. It's not that it doesn't output at all, It does. But what it outputs is less of a clean signal, and more of what appears to be RF interference. Yup. It's broken! Think you can fix it? You're a better technician than I. Or at least more optimistic. I've tried troubleshooting it for days. But I really couldn't get much farther than the Attenuator, which does appear to be working. I didn't seem to be getting any signal from the A6 output board. But my scope only goes up to 50MHz, and without a Freq counter, I could only get so far. The power supply board seems to be working well. ... moreWithout much noticeable ripple. So that's not it. There were no obviously blown up/ melted/ exploded/ imploded parts inside. And all the boards are in nice cosmetic shape. This unit does have some nice parts though. The optional High Stability Timebase seems to be working OK. The first scope display shows the clean 10MHz signal coming from it. The other displays are what it's outputting. I'm no expert. But I'm pretty sure this output is NOT normal! Cosmetically. It's ok, not great. Has assorted scuffs and paint chips around the front frame, and a scrape in the front panel under the Address/Local key. It's missing the handles and feet. Guaranteed to to be broken! Good luck! Here is an original(not a cheap copy) military instruction manual for the signal generator AN/URM-25D. Navships 92134(A) as originally printed by the Department of the Navy, Bureau of Ships. It is dated 31 August, 1956. It is in good used condition, complete with fold-out schematics. Although someone has written"corrected copy" on the front cover, they did not mean it is a copy of the original, they meant this particular one is a corrected distribution of the original version. This is a vintage Heathkit model# SG-6 RF Signal Generator. I received it as part of a large lot of used Amateur Radio and electronic test equipment. It appears to be in good condition and work okay. But because of its age it is sold as-is- it may need recalibration or other maintenance performed. It has scuffs and scratches typical for a unit of this vintage. The only testing I did was to select some frequencies on my ICOM IC-761 HF/Shortwave Receiver, and I was able to hear the output of this signal generator on the Receiver, as I turned the SG-6's frequency dial to match that of the HF Receiver. The SG-6 Signal Generator has a built-in audio tone generator. And it will also accept an external tone or modulation source, or provide output of the internal tone generator for use with other test equipment. Great clean condition with all functions tested and working. The tubes have been tested and all the switches have been cleaned as you can see the output is on spot. The 400 HZ. audio output works as well i replaced the old microphone jacks with modern BNC connectors so you can use it with most of todays equipment that has BNC input/output connections. I like the compact size of this unit and i'm sure it will fit in on the smallest of work benches. The only flaw i found in on the bottom edge of the face place.There is a slight dent that can be seen in the photo of this area. You are look at Heathkit matching test equipment set of 5 pieces. As you can see from the photos, they are in very good shape. This sale is for just the 5 pieces and not the other equipment that I used to demonstrate that they are working. The 5 pieces are as follows. IG-5282 audio sine wave/square wave signal generator. Look at the scope pictures, both the sine wave and square wave functions work. IPA-5280, the power supply that powers all the test equipment, works great. IG-5280 RF signal generator, please look at the photos again, the output works great. It can also be modulated with the internal AF 1 kilo hertz generator that is built in and also has a audio output to drive something else. The IM-5284 Multimeter measures AC OR DC VOLTAGE, resistance and DC milliamps. The Power supply has 4 outputs. One for each piece of test equipment ... moreand will power them all at the same time. The outputs are plus and minus 9 VDC. Each of the pieces of test equipment also has connectors and holders inside for two 9 VDC batteries. There is a switch on the rear of each piece to switch from Battery operation or AC power supply operation so all of this test equipment can be used remotely without AC power. Each piece also has a compartment on top to store things in, cables, connectors, etc. All the equipment works. But need to be calibrated. IFR 1000A Communications Service Monitor, RF Signal Generator
This is a used. Not functioning IFR service monitor. We have owned it for over 25 years and it always worked great, but about 3 months ago, it stopped working, blowing either the AC line fuse or the DC fuse, depending on which source you used. The oven light comes on until you turn on the power, then the fuse blows. I disconnected the internal battery, in case that might have failed, but it made no difference. I am retiring, and have another monitor, so I am not looking to repair this one. My loss could be your gain. It includes the front cover and both the AC and DC power cables. The battery is old and probably not serviceable. We used it on the bench and never used it. The unit is clean, considering it's age. The gaskets are dried out, but the face and case are not scuffed up.

Built in complete systems from Randex Power Generators 2000Watts. Frequency is 13.56Mhz but can be changed by changing Quartz on the front of the device. So this deck is a generator and a linear amplifier. That can deliver up to 300Watts– cooling by external blower. Heating supply is integrated und I think the high voltage must be provided externally. Tube used is the EIMAC 4-125 Tetrode plus 2 other tubes– manual and circuit diagram can be delivered with the device as copy. The device was removed from an operating system. So it should be functional– but no guarantee due to lacking test equipment and knowledge of these things. All tubes are present und everything seems complete. TEKTRONIX MODEL 191 CONSTANT AMPLITUDE RF GENERATOR This unit will generate fr signals from 0.35- 100 MHz. Waveforms are clean sine waves and the amplitude is constant across the entire frequency range. Cheaper 2 tube generators suffer from poor waveforms and signals which vary widely in output. Rf output is adjustable from about 5 mv to 5 v and will remain at that output until changed. This unit is a big step up form the Eico and Heathkit models and is a serious unit for any workbench. Auction includes a GR-BNC adapter(hard to find) Copy of the manual and one used BNC cable. I've found that ac can be applied with a 3 prong adapter to any extension cord and I am providing one. Used.
