The Amiga's cult-like following is largely due to the technological superiority enabled by an ingenious set of specially designed chips. The chips in this chipset were given whimsical names like Agnus. Denise, Gary, Buster, Ramsey and so on. These chips enabled the Motorola 68000 microprocessor heart of the Amiga to do so much more. Angus is part of the original Amiga OCS chipset(which also included Agnus, Denise, CIA, and Paula) The Agnus is the Address Generator Chip. It provided access to RAM and DMA controllers. It contained the Blitter and Copper, which provided graphics capabilities. ... moreIt also created the system clock and video timing signals. Can't sell as top quality because of the scratched surface(see photos) I have two and the worst of the them is pictured. First buyer gets the better one. For sale one MIPS RM52X1 CPU 8 inch wafer designed by Quantum Effect Devices 1998. One of the 52xx series of MIPS processors. I purchased these for my private collection and have just a few extras of this very rare and beautiful item. The RM52x1 family featured 345 Dhrystone 2.1 MIPS 266 MHz 64-bit MIPS with 125 MHz memory interface capable of 1000 MBytes per second peak transfer rates.The family also had superscalar instruction issue architecture that increased processor and overall system performance. This architecture enabled one integer and one floating point instruction to be processed per clock cycle. In addition it had 32 Kbyte instruction and 32 Kbyte data caches. One very rare MIPS CPU wafer for sale. The R4000 was a scalar superpiplined microprocessor with an eight-stage integer pipeline. The R4000 contained 1.2 million transistors. It was designed for a 1.0 µm two-layer metal(CMOS) process. MIPS was a fabless company. So the R4000 was fabricated by partners using their own processes. This one was fabed at Performance Semiconductor Corporation(PSC) in 1991 and is in excellent condition. The packaged R4000 processors are very difficult to find. This wafer is very rare indeed. The DS1821 can function as a standalone thermostat with user-programmable trip-points or as 8-bit temperature sensor with a 1-Wire digital interface. The thermostat trip-points are stored in nonvolatile memory. So DS1821 units can be programmed prior to system insertion for true standalone operation. The DS1821 has an operating temperature range of–55°C to +125°C and is accurate to ±1°C over a range of 0°C to +85°C. A rare Dallas Semiconductor CPU wafer manufactured in 1994. The DS87C520/DS83C520 EPROM/ROM high-speed microcontrollers were fast 8051-compatible microcontrollers. They featured a redesigned processor core without wasted clock and memory cycles. As a result. The devices execute every 8051 instruction between 1.5 and 3 times faster than the original for the same crystal speed. Typical applications will see a speed improvement of 2.5 times using the same code and the same crystal. The DS87C520/DS83C520 offered a maximum crystal speed of 33MHz.
