When it comes to fly fishing, the Madison River is on the top of most people's list and its hard to beat the fun and excitement you'll have with the team at Montana Fly Fishing Trips. ... moreWith thousands of floats under our belts on the Madison River alone, Montana Fly Fishing Trips has the experience and know-how to not only increase your chances of success but also to make your fly fishing adventure an unforgettable experience.

There's a reason Montana Fly Fishing Trips has chosen to make Ennis, Montana and the Madison River it's home. With 3,000 - 4,500 fish per mile, unbelievable scenic views, and fresh air, the Madison River is an anglers dream. Appropriately nicknamed "the fifty mile riffle" because of its consistent depth and speed, the Madison is ideal for float fishing as you can just follow your drift for about as long as you want. With abundant aquatic insects, as well as a robust baitfish population, this is a VERY healthy river. Floating, wading, dries, nymphs, streamers--whatever your pleasure, the Madison River and Montana Fly Fishing Trips is sure to please!

Great instruction, incredible fishing, beautiful scenery. It really doesn't get much better than this. Book today with Montana Fly Fishing Trips and see for yourself!!

September can be one of the most invigorating times to fish the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. As summer closes, the clear waters begin cooling down, the heat subsides, and the river ... moreis emptied of floating traffic. And as the temperature cools, the water gets lower and slower – ideal fishing conditions.

As the water cools, the wild cutthroat follow their native instincts to start packing on weight for the difficult winter looming ahead. September is their last chance to gorge themselves on large terrestrials and tasty surface hatches before the winter doldrums of midge subsistence sets in.

Our September fishing trips are smaller and more personable than our Summer trips. As the days start to get shorter and we have the whole Wilderness nearly to ourselves, these trips take on a nostolgic and sportsman/sportswoman's vibe.

This is a special time for both guides and guests on the Middle Fork; our guides are excited to row you through the best Cutthroat fly fishing waters in the West. You will find them to be both knowledgeable leaders and wonderful companions, whether they’re sharing an exotic presentation technique, helping to improve an angler’s casting skills, cooking up one of our favorite dishes, or telling lively stories around the campfire.

Come with me on a real, authentic kiwi experience, fly fishing spectacular water and hunting down some big wily trout amongst magnificent scenery! ... more

I provide an affordable day of private guiding and don’t hold back on the quality, ensuring you have the best experience possible. Im here to help you find the fish and introduce you to the fishing methods used to catch them in NZ, from dry fly to nymphing and anything else in-between!

What to Expect
In New Zealand we focus on making the most of the abundant clear water and sight-fishing for trout, only casting once a fish is spotted, which is more akin to ‘trout-hunting’. Sight fishing is not easy but the most rewarding of all and therefore I can introduce you to its main aspects and help you be confident and competent to catch that fish of a lifetime!

Depending on weather and conditions we may visit different rivers and areas ranging from mountainous valleys surrounded by forest to vast tussock plains. All locations have spectacular landscape, beautiful water and nice fish.

Each boat holds two guests along with your guide and equipment. We will tailor your adventure to your skill level and preferences and your guide will determine the best places to fish based on these factors. You can enjoy a laid-back day (or better yet, a few days in a row) of great fishing with our friendly, knowledgeable guides to show you the way.

Our McKenzie River drift boats, specially designed for the fishing and whitewater you'll encounter on this river, are perfect for enjoying your day on the water. They are easily maneuverable and designed to get you to the best fishing spots without the any need for wading.
