The 3 1/2 inch diameter pegged rails screw& counter screw into the headboard and foot board. Overall dimensions are 75" long, 51" wide, and 6' tall. The posts are 3" by 3" which make the inside dimensions approximately 69" by 45" The headboard hangs in place by hooks and eye screws, and seats into notches on the headboard cross bar. The bed is very solid and stable when assembled, weighing about 127 pounds. Both rails have an age crack running part way along the rail as shown in the photos. One rail is missing three pegs. I have one missing peg loose, that can be used as a template to make the other two pegs. The heavy canvas fabric is a light to medium brown color. Sort of what a"raw sienna" paint color looks like. It is difficult to get accurate color in a photograph and monitors vary. STERLING BELT TIP BY VOGT HEAVY QUALITY W/ ROPE EDGE. APPROX. 21.6 G
Dress up your favorite belt with this great tip from the makers at Vogt. I have had this probably 30 yrs. The tip will accept leather up to 1.5" There is a slight remnant of the previous belt and that is the size of that one. The makers mark is on the back along with Mexico and Sterling. It weighs a little less than the 21.6 gr. on the scale because of a small amount of that residual leather. But it is a nice heavy solid piece. The tip is centered by a large cactus flower. And the rest of the surface is fully engraved as well. There is a heavy rope edge on this to finish it off perfectly. I did notice one slight ding to the silver on the edge on the outside of the rope edge, so it is pretty well camouflaged by the rope. It certainly wouldn't even be noticeable from a couple of inches a way, I always just want to let you know everything ... morebefore you buy. The surface of the silver measures 1.75' x 1.5" at the widest points. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. We are pleased to offer this iconic 1st production Charles Eames designed Herman Miller/ Zenith Plastics rope edge arm rocker discovered recently in a local estate. This molded fiberglass shell rocker is referred to as Lemon Yellow(LY) The base of the rocker is the zinc tower design with birch rockers. It has vibrant color and outstanding fiber patterns. It has the coin shaped mold release imprint inside the bucket seat. Its my understanding that this can only be found on the 1949. First production of Zenith produced chair shells. The zinc rod base shows signs of oxidation. One rod shows a slight bend and a possible reweld. The hardware is all original and intact. The'checkerboard' HM manufactures label is intact and in ... moregreat condition. The birch runners show use as well. There is a one inch crack in the bend of the right arm. There are also a couple of transfer scuffs that could be removed but I will leave that to you. Please see photos for a better idea of condition. Its still a terrific rocker that will make a great addition to any collection of mid century design. Note* The chair measures 27" tall to the top of the backrest. 25" wide and 16" to the seat height. Vintage Primitive Wood Minnow Bait Box with Original Anchor Rope Leather Hinge
This auction is for a primitive minnow bait box made of wood. Steel mesh, and leather. I do not know when it was made, but it looks similiar to the ones used in Little Egg Harbor in New Jersey when I was a kid. it weighs 3 1/2 pounds, and measures 14 1/4 inches long, 7 inches wide, and roughly 6 1/2 inches tall. The hinges are made of one leather strap that has been cut in two. The rope is almost 4 feet long. All of the nails are tight, and the only piece that can be considered'loose' is the door lock.
