Rare Roof Screen of Kuna House Mola Collected by Bob and Marianne Huber.Possibly Exhibited. The abstract design used in this mola is beautiful and entrancing in its own right- but even more interesting when you get the story behind the design. The label attached to the back(which may indicate it was included in one of several exhibits of Huber Collection molas in European museums in the late 1970s. Reads"39 ROOF SEEN FROM BELOW. Here are two roofs of Cuna thatched houses as seen from below, lying in a hammock. The grass allows patches of light to come through, shown here by the colored triangles. DO NOT REMOVE) It is truly a cool design.nice balance and color pallet. And with a very good provenance, including a likely museum display. Some abrasion in spots. 18" x 15" The Huber Collection. Bob and Marianne Huber started collecting ... moremolas in the late 1960s. And went on to make a documentary film about mola making in 1973.
