Here is an antique cast iron roof ornament called a snow bird. These snow birds were attached to the roof and prevented the snow from sliding off the roof and falling on people or objects below. Now some people hang them on the wall as a little shelf. The part that would act as the shelf is about 5 3/4 by 2 5/8 inches. The overall length of the entire piece is 9 1/2 inches. This one is embossed S&S Mfg Co Slatington PA. Pat July 24 1923. Snow bids came in a variety of shapes and sizes and are a fun and affordable way to collect antiques.

Antique Soldered Tin Folk Art Cupola Architectural Roof Ornament Flame Finial
This auction is for another great example of the 19th century tin nockers art. This Cupola is made from soldered galvinized tin and sports a really nice flame finial on top. The dimensions are 15-1/4" square and 20-1/2" tall. It is in very good structural condition with a heavy layer of multiple coats of paint the paint has flaked off in many areas revealing the historic record of previous colors.and the galvanic zinc. This will make a great roof, garden or house ornament. It can be attached directly to a flat roof or a wood base can be simply made to saddle a gable pitched roof. There are some tiny holes(visable in photos) these are from incomplete solder joints when it was made and a few in the flame are from the metal being stretched and work hardened when it was made. they are not rust holes.

This is a decorative Chinese Ceramic End Cap Roof Tile in the shape of an Immortal on Rooster. Its primary color is terra cotta green with amber glazed accents. It measures just over 9.5" high when the end cap is placed over the ledge. Almost 9" wide and 3.75" deep. It is in good condition except for the occasional chipping/flaking to the glaze. There is a natural roughness on the underneath portion. In the Chinese Zodiac, the Rooster is the quick thinker, is practical and resourceful, and is keenly observant.

Yakima Roof Rack with Q towers, lock cores, fairing and ski rack
This auction is for everything you see here. It comes with 2x 48" round crossbars. 4 Q towers, an aero fairing, front wheel holder, ski rack and Q clips that fit a mazda 3. Also included are lock cores and the keys which is an added value. You will probably have to get Q clips that fit your model vehicle. As you can see in the pic, there are no rubber pieces that go under the Q-clips. They are old and deteriorated but you can get those very cheap with the Q clips. This is a great rack and I have not had any issues with it, to build this rack yourself you are looking at at least $450 brand new, get it for half that! Great value for carrying skis and snowboards to the mountain, One-button access means you can load/unload while wearing gloves, Universal mounting hardware fits rack systems with round crossbars, Also the front left Q tower needs a couple pieces. You will need part 8810077 RPL.Q P-BALL,8M FSTNRL as well as the plastic piece that goes around the metal. I do not have the part number for that. But a single q tower can be purchased with this part number 8880047. The piece is very cheap. Thule Roof Top Ski Rack Model 91724
This ski rack works really well. It was purchased without the screws for the clamps and the hardware we used rusted so it needs new screws. It otherwise was used on the car roof rack for two months and so has seen very little use. The box is a little roughed up but it is otherwise excellent condition. It carries up to 4 pairs of skis or 2 snowboards.
