They are a very realistic looking dark grayish color and look like they are hand painted. I believe they are made of stone ground into a kind of plaster and reconstituted to form a rock-like resin. They have lots of lifelike details. Including their scales and eyes. The larger alligator is about 3-1/4" in length and the smaller one is about 2-1/2" long. This delightful pair are unique in the way they have been crafted. The black frog is made from a piece of coal. A label on the bottom tells this. The smiling face and goggle eyes make him a happy little fellow. The figurine measures approx.2 1/8" long by 2 1/8" high by 2 3/4" wide. The brown frog may be resin or perhaps petrified wood. I don't know for sure. It is light weight and carved with detail. It measures approx. 2" long by 1 1/2" wide by 1 1/2" high. Both are offered together as they have never been apart.
