Ringbound. Enlarged Edition, dated 1970. Lots of interesting patterns, but only line drawings of the flies. I believe this was self published by Patrick's fly shop. Please be aware that this book has been owned by an avid fly tyer and cigar smoker. And the books are stored where the cigars are smoked. So keep that in mind as you bid. My friends who borrow books say that the smell wears off in about a week. And you can read them in comfort at that time. They usually read them in dis-comfort before then. The grading is severe, I would rather you be surprised that the book is higher quality than you expected, than reverse. All are used books- I bought them to use. Not abuse, but to use.

There is only some a couple of scratches and some very very fine scratches, but hardly even noticeable and only seen when turned in the light just right. There are no dents or dings! I think this may be able to be reused, the top may be able to be pried off and put back on if I remember right, but not sure. This is very clean and the white top is very bright. I generally do nothing more than wipe the piece with a soft cloth when looking for signatures or wear. No soap or water involved, as there is a good chance of the piece developing verdigris if I don't get it completely dry. I will mention what the quality of the piece seems like to me. I.e. if it has a good feel to it, no obvious signs of cheap manufacturing, good materials, etc, I will say it is higher ... moreor better quality, average stuff where the piece is still well made but the materials are more on the cheap side will be listed as good quality and if it is a cheapie I will mention this in the description. I try not to use a flash on my pictures and get as close as possible. Insuring( hopefully) no nasty surprises for the buyer. But that combined with my poor photography skills tends to magnify any small flaws and or light and camera reflections. So please keep that in mind when looking at the pictures. If you see something that you think I missed just let me know and I will double check the piece. Lastly, I do apologize for the occasional fur that shows up in the pics. VINTAGE- RETRO GLASS SHAKER JAR Up for auction is a Vintage Hazel Atlas Shaker Bottle/ Jar. This cute little clear glass shaker jar is marked HAZEL ATLAS on the bottom along with 5051 and F 8. This Shaker Jar has a unique shape. it is approximately 6" high and has a sculpted ribs around the bottom of the jar on all sides about 1 1/4" up from the bottom. The Shaker Jar has a RED ribbed plastic lid that screws on/off. and the lid is marked SAMAE. I believe the lid is the original lid. The Shaker and lid is in gently-used nice shape with no cracks. Chips or damage and the glass is nice and clear. This Shaker Jar would make a great addition to your Vintage Collection. I believe this could also be a Laundry Shaker. not really sure. Beautiful Victorian Gold Pin-Plastic Amber Faceted Flowers Leaves Leaf C-Clasp
Up for auction is a very unusual. Beautiful, Victorian, gold tone pin. It measures 1 3/4 inches by 1 inch. It's decorated with what I believe is hand cut, amber plastic in the shape of flowers and leaves. You can't see this in the photo's but, some of the facets are cut in such a way to give a flower and leaf design when you look at the amber pieces. If you look at photo#4, you'll see that the pin has a c-clasp. There are a few small chips, along the edges of 2 of the flowers. It was impossible to catch it in the photo. You just can’t take your eyes off this lot of 3 vintage soprano plastic ukes! They display beautifully. Play decently, and hold historic value. Uke number one is an Emenee Hootenanny(HU-80A) and comes with its original box. Instructional and song booklet, and auto tuner(it sits over the neck near the tuners, clamps down with rubber bands, and allows you to play six different chords at the touch of a button) This is a standard soprano size, about 21 inches tall and about 6 1/2 inches wide. It has a lovely illustration of an old-time hootenanny and it is finished off with a dark marble back. Uke number two is a Carnival soprano with a college theme. This uke includes its original red plastic strings and an incredibly beautiful red, white, and black marble backing. This one really holds a tune and is playable! It has a repaired neck just under the tuner that is viewable in the photos. This soprano uke measures about 21 inches tall and about 6 inches wide. Uke number three is a colorful Hawaiian themed soprano from the early 1970s. It is made in Japan(see photo of back and hiragana letter on box ST brand no. 965 4040) and was distributed in the US by F.W. Whoolworth company. The uke comes with its original box and original plastic lei: Both still holding color quite well. Both the box and the uke look really great displayed.
