This radio is in excellent condition and works great. It has had little use. It requires 4 AA batteries(included) or a DC 6V battery. There is an input for earphones and a DC 6V input. The case is black and measures 7-3/8" x 4-3/4" x 1-1/4" and has a pullout antenna. The folding back support for desktop use is functional and in good condition. There is also an aerial antenna and a grey felt case. There are no defects.

Auction includes AC adapter and comes with an XM Satellite Antenna with 21' cord that works great, but does not fit in the holding slot on the back of the Boombox. VINTAGE 1980's GE 3-5286A BOOMBOX GHETTO BLASTER BOOMBOX STEREO CASSETTE RADIO
Available here is a very rare vintage General Electric boombox! The model number is 3-5286A as marked on the back of the unit. It has been tested and works great. Both the radio and the tape player are fully functional. The original A/C cord is included. The antenna is completely intact and in great condition. There is one very small cosmetic nick just above the radio dial(see pictures) Inside the battery compartment I've noted that the battery contacts have some corrosion/ rust on them but this should clean up without much trouble. Note that I've tested the unit with the A/C power cord attached. Not with batteries. According to my research online this fine piece was first introduced in 1982 and sold for $290.
