Very beautiful high end vintage/ near vintage bass with high quality active electronics and great tone. The famous Stuart Spector designed the electronics and pickups. It is a is a made in Japan 80's Kramer Pro Forum 4 model Bass guitar with nice pearl inlays. Quality hardware and white champagne finish. Alder body and Brazilian rosewood neck. It plays great, looks great, and sound incredible. It is totally original except a few of the knobs were replaced. The neck is in great condition as is the whole bass. I am the second owner and the first owner played it very little so the frets are in excellent condition with a LOT of life left on them. The guitar in general is in very clean condition. There is one ding on the top back of the contoured body part but it looks really nice. Its playablility and tone holds its own with the best of the ... moreother famous basses like Fennder Jazz or Warwicks. I have been bringing it out on gigs and players using those other basses immediately notice the tones that come out of this bass. A warm Jazz sound but also with active punch when dialed in or you can back off the tones and blend the pickups and get the Jazz warmth. So Precision punch or Jazz warmth. Very cool. The Stuart Spector electronics are excellent. Many top players used them back in the day and they were used on a lot of classic albums. Kramer is owned by Gibson now and Kramer is becoming collectible and this is a great high end Vintage version for cheap. Sorry no bag or case included but it will be very carefully and well packed. I am only selling because of a move cross country and wanting to thin my collection. I haven't tried to exactly date it because Kramer's record keeping with serial number was notoriously spotty. But these were only made from between 1987 and 1990 when Kramer went out of business. Then being bought by Gibson years later)

Since it is made of carbon fiber, you can have this sitting outside of a case in the living room, take it to the hot beach, travel through South American jungles with it-essentially take it wherever you want since humidity and temperature don't affect it. the ultimate guitar that sounds akin to high end McPhersons, yet has the durability vast beyond all wood guitars since it's made of carbon fiber. The Fishman Prefix Premium Blend electronics are a very rare find on a CA since the system is so expensive. And it is fantastic for dialing in the exact, ... moreand I mean EXACT, tone you want for performance. It's in a class of its own, as there is both an internal mic(you can see it in the sound hole) and undersaddle pickup with a blend slider to give you control of the mix. You can adjust notch, frequency, and it even has an onboard tuner. You don't see manufacturers spending the money to put this expensive performance beast on a guitar often!
