DRH Johnson? Crane Snatch Block (and tackle?) 8" Pulley 1" Rope Line 10-14 ton?
Up for auction is this vintage snatch block. I can make out"on" on it but nothing else. That leads me to believe it may be a DRH Johnson. I found it in a garage I bought. It was one of several mounted to an I-beam overhead and had a sign saying"Max. Safe Operating Capacity 10 Tons(20.000 lbs. I don't know if that is the actual rating of this piece though. I would have to assume that the rig would be labeled for the weakest component so I would also assume that this is 10 tons or more. The smallest one had a 6" pulley so I'm assuming that would be the one rated at 10 tons and this should be significantly more. It's about 20" from tip of the hook to the bottom of the pulley. The pulley is about 8 inches in diameter and looks like it had a 1" diameter cable. It's a little filthy and has some surface ... morerust but the hook swivels and the pulley rotates freely. Please note: Item will be partially disassembled in order to fit in a flat rate priority box in order to save you money as well as reach you in a lot less time. No reserve so bid to win! Use the guide above as a reference only. Please verify on your own whether or not this will fit your application. I found this in a garage that's been closed for about 25 years.
