Lot of TWO 2-Ton 2T Sorting Hooks: Crosby L5F (= A-378?) & BTC 479 Lifting hook
Please see photos! These are nearly identical. But from different USA manufacturers; Crosby and BTC(BREWER-TITCHENER CORP. The Crosby is marked L5F and has a bend in the end of the hook. The current Crosby catalog indicates that area of the hook can be repaired by grinding, not heating or bending. I believe this hook is equivalent to their current A-378 Sorting Hook. The BTC is marked 478. These are from a closed down steel fabrication company that did a lot of painting. So they have considerable paint over-spray on them.

Price reduced! Here is a good used Forged Alloy Swivel Hook with Latch. It is approximately 7 inches long and about 2 and 1/2 inches wide and has a Safe Weight Limit on it stating 2 tons. I see no signs of it being stretched or bent. The top rounded eye is 1/2 steel. I was a Crane Operator for over 20 years so I am well familiar with lifting devices.
