9 Vintage Ruby Red Duncan & Miller Elegant Glass 6 3/4" Plates, Ground Bottoms
This set of 9 ruby red plates are in good to very good used condition. All have ground and polished bottoms. They measure 6 3/4 inches in diameter. The clarity of the glass is clear. There are no breaks. Although there is minor scratch wear-not uncommon to used plates. There are also a few very minor flea bites and one slightly larger chip on the ground bottom edge of 1 plate- not visible on the top. These plates are beautiful with Rich ruby red color. Totally far out elephant bell bottom jeans/pants. Circa early 1970's, for your flower power hippie girl! This authentic vintage piece is the real deal! ~ Features pull-up styling. A high waisted bell bottom silhouette, high rise, belt loops, plain front, a single metal snap fastener and metal zipper fly closure(in perfect working condition) super wide flared legs, two front inset hand pockets, two rear open patch pockets, a leather applique to right rear pocket with the word"Toughskins" embossed on it, and a full-length plain hem. ~ There are no labels indicating the fabric content so materials used are unknown. The heavyweight. Non-elastic, textured hop sack fabric is coarse and starchy(similar to burlap) and feels like it just came in the mail from the Sears catalog, from 1970. I found a very similar item from the same brand ... moreonline and it indicates the material as"cotton polyester hop sack" I would lean more on the cotton/wool blend, myself. It features a funky plaid pattern in red, white, blue, and yellow. ~ The label reads. Growing Girl, by Sears, Roebuck and Co. USA" Per measurements, estimated modern size is a girl's size 7. Three Tier Glass with Red Bottoms Candy/Snack Dish With Top
This is a unique stackable candy or snack serving glass container with three tiers and a top. The glass is clear. But the bottom of each individual piece is red. It measures about 10 inches tall X 5 inches wide. This would make a great gift or a nice and not typical holiday serving dish. It could also be used daily to complement your decor. I bought this at Dillard's department store about 25 years ago. It has rarely been used, but has been a pleasure to look at when serving guests.
