It looks fine but is not original and was added by the previous owner. They also have a few pieces of velcro on top of her head. I left them there as they help wigs stay in place. It stands about 4 3/4" tall and still has the Schiaparelli New York label on the bottom, as well as lace trim, and PART of the signed tape measure across the mannequin's bodice. She measures 28 inches high to the top of her head with no wig or hat by 13 inches wide from shoulder to shoulder to 7 1/2 inches deep at the widest which is her head. I believe she is made of some sort of plaster. She is certainly heavy. She has beautiful realistic green glass eyes. She was made anytime from the late 19th century to the early 20th and is most likely French based on some other pieces I have seen from that era and country. She is currently modelling ... morea real human hair wig and an expensive straw hat. The wig will stay with her but the hat will not. She would look good with a flapper hat, something period to go with when she was made. She truly is in exceptional condition but there are blemishes as to be expected for the age. She has some rubs in the paint around her eyes and lips, some missing paint from her back and shoulders, a crack around the base(no loss of structural integrity) etc. There are holes in her head for afixing a wig; one on the top and one on each temple both right and left. This is a very nice old mannequin. I do not know what brand/maker it is. It is wood. Fiberglass, cloth and papier mache(the hands) construction. Mannequin has beautiful glass eyes. It was painted white at some time in its past and this is peeling and cracking off. It really needs to be restored. As you can see in the pics, each hand has a broken finger, but they are present. This is a vintage Japanese mannequin head that was used in a barber school. It's a full size young adult male. Late teens to early 20s I think. He works perfectly to display Japanese military hats, caps and helmets. I know this for a fact, as I am using him now in one of my auctions I currently have listed. He's in excellent condition, just has the name Tanaka written on his neck. His hair can be cut shorter if you want to do it. This is a very rare silver and enamel pepper shaker made in 1907 by Louis Willmot in the form of a lady with reticulated/ hinged arms and legs. Whilst the lady does not stand up on her own/ unsupported. She does sit upright as her legs and arms rotate as well as being hinged at the knees and elbows. The pepper has a removable head which is beautifully enamelled. The pepper is 4-3/4 inches/120 mm tall and 1-5/8 inches/ 41 mm wide across the shoulders and about 3/4 inches/ 19 mm front to back. She weighs 74 grams. The silver has clear hallmarks- lion passant. London mark, letter m for 1907 and maker's mark LW for Louis Willmot. The pepper is in excellent ... morecondition with no dents. The 1980 model arrived on her own and she probably has some stories to tell! There are details which set this dress form apart from the other. This form seems to match Wolf Form's description of a Strapless. Bridal& Cocktail Dress Form as it has a more defined bust, shaped buttocks and attached shoulder caps. VINTAGE Pre Teen Girl 40's Retail Store Mannequin w Composition Cover+Eye Lashes
VINTAGE Old retail store mannequin. I was told the store was closed in the 50’s so its likely this is a 40’s piece. Its the body of a pre teen/ teen female. Head to toe. No arms. And litterally toe.she has the tips/ toes of one foot missing. She is in a standing position but will not stand alone, will need to lean or a stand and has a clamp on the back of her leg to somehow use with a stand, though I do not know how. She may also be suspened Beautiful angelic face with hand painted eye details and individual eye lashes. Most are there. Just a few are missing but you can easily fix that. Composition of some type. I am afraid I do not know exactly what but it has fiberglass filament in it. She presents with great color, solid cover with good body finish. Her arms are gone and you can see fiberglass threads in the composition, likely throughout ... moreher entire body. No stain or issues, just some age discoloration, mostly a darkening of the color. The slightest scuff to her nose. She is just over 56" tall to the top of the head, which is designed for use with a wig. Shoulders are about 11" across one side to the other. Hips about 10" across. This will either go by box or soft wrap. We have sent many this way with good results. I have the box info in the calculator so it gives you some insight as to shipping. I am not certain but more times than not shipping is less than what you see. This will NOT be wrapped until sold so it is very hard to offer a pin point estimate. Based on the funky color and fabric, I am guessing it is from the 70’s or 80’s. This item is from my aunts estate. She was 103 when she died. She wore wigs. And I am guessing she got this from someone so she could display them. However, I never saw it until I was cleaning out the house. It was wrapped up in a closet. Guess it kind of creeped her out. Victorian Wax Corset or Jewelry Display Mannequin
This RARE. Unusual corset, necklace or hat display wax mannequin from late 1800's to earlier 1900's would be a perfect addition to anyone who collects wax mannequins or needs a display mannequin that will certainly catch attention and create conversation. She has platinum blonde hair in what appears to be a Gibson style with its original hair net and hair pins. Each hair is embedded into the wax as is the eyebrows and eyelashes. She has glass eyes and porcelain teeth giving her an almost lifelike appearance. She may also scare away unwanted guests! I tried to photograph her as well as I could to capture every essence of her beauty. But all beauties are not without flaws. She has small, superficial scratches on the skin that are actually more visible in the pictures than to the naked eye. This"modern" babe does have a nose ... morejob; yes, a nose job. Unfortunately, she may have fallen on her face early in her youth and had her nose repaired. I though she had bad skin on her nose(from too much bubbly, I supposed) but an expert told me it has a plaster repair. Maybe she had too much bubbly and fell on her face. Well, with a tight corset and all, anything is possible) It must have been a long time ago before botox came into fashion. I believe that her bodice is recovered as it is in perfect condition with no tears or shatter in the fabric. Not sure if the bodice is original or a really good reproduction because it protrudes slightly in the back below the shoulders(shown in the picture) This is surely not the head of a full body mannequin as her head, neck and shoulders are one solid piece which in my opinion suggests that this lovely Victorian or Edwardian lady was probably used as a display in a store either for corsets, necklaces or hats. I venture to think it was more for necklaces than the others but the person I bought her from said it was a corset mannequin) Getting perfectly, exact measurements is a bit difficult due to the bends and curves so I will do my best. She stands 24 ½” The mannequin has an original“Cinderella Flocks” dress and under garment chemise. Both garments are sound in structure but have aging spots and fading. Really cool retro looking styrofoam wig/hat stand. This one has a styrofoam base that is covered with a painted plastic face. You gotta love the painted face on this one. The color on it is still very vibrant. The head looks to be in great condition with only a few pin holes. Measures almost 12" tall x over 6 1/2" base diameter. Name on the back is barely visible, it looks like Plastic Personalities. I show it pictured with a wig, this auction is for the styrofoam head only.
