It is plastic with glass in the door and is marked in blue with"Lenell Bros. Baking Co. Inc. It measures approximately 10 3/8" square and is in excellent condition. Famous for its buttery assortment of cookies like Pinwheels and Butterscotch Stars, Lenell Cookies have been beloved by Chicagoans for nearly 75 years. Antique large primitive store counter candy jar. It has a slant front and rounded back end. Sides. Top, and bottom have flat stops. It is 11" deep x 7-1/2" tall x 6" wide. It has many inperfections in the glass, ie, bubbles, wavy stops as old glass often has. It is a heavy thick glass. The rubber gasket to the lid is gone, if it ever had one. It is in very good antique condition no cracks, or chips that I could see, but there is some use rubbing and scratches which only add to its character. Large wood and glass show cabinet. Has light inside. 4 heavy clear adjustable glass shelves. 2 glass windows: 32 1/4 inch wide. 39 1/2 inch tall. The cabinet is 72 inches wide, 67 1/2 inch tall, 18 1/2 inch in depth. The back is all wood. Has 2 doors for each side for the display shelves. Then there is 2 doors under the display doors on each side for under display which is completely closed in. There is a metal bar across the display doors so you can lock it. And when you lock the display doors, the bottom doors are unable to open either. The light inside works well. If there is any more info or pics you need to decide on buying this. The door opens and closes freely, the only issue is the brass is loose on the handle side, may need some glue. The slide lock works easily and fits snugly into the opening. This is a VERY unusual piece! It's an old hand-made jewelry display case(I wish I knew just how old) The type of wood is unknown. But appears to have some dove-tail construction. The handle appears to be brass. The glass is sturdy. Slightly beveled, and is 1/4" thick and measures 15" X 8-1/4" There are a few minor scratches on the glass, but overall appears to be in relatively good condition. The display case height is 3-1/2" tall.
