The date at a glance could read as 1918 but we are sure it is 1915( please refer to photos) Open at the top and would say the dressing is not WW1 but an original replacement shell dressing from around 1939 but no later. This is a interesting. Historical piece- the dome of the helmet is damaged, there is actually a break in the helmet, the weathering of the damage is consistent with the rest of the helmet. The cloth helmet liner is rigger sewn while in service and has a great salty appearance. Has the perfect been-there look. There is a mfg stamp on the inside of the reversible cloth camo cover. The liner has no sweat band and the outer shell looks to have had a yellow based decal on either side. Plus a possible white stripe-just white bits remain. Pretty set of pillow covers from IKEA. They are from the Malin collection and are made of a cream linen-like material with shades of green. Grey and purple.
