Micros PCWS 2010 POS Point of Sale 15" LCD Touch Screen Terminal Windows XP Pro
I have a used Micros PCWS 2010 Point of sale terminal for sale(Part# 423595-378A) This unit was aquired from a computer store that closed. I used a USB thumb drive with a image of Hiren's Boot CD to run diagnostic tests on the RAM and hard drive. No errors were detected by Memtest86 or HD Tune. I also tested the Ethernet port by plugging the terminal into my LAN and it was able to get online with no problems. I was able to use the unit with a USB Keyboard and mouse(Not Included) The touch screen functioned as it should without any problems. This terminal boots into Windows XP Professional. It has Service Pack 2. But I will install Service Pack 3 before shipping. It looks like it may have been used at a Subway shop since it has a program called Sub Shop 2000. It's password protected, so I wasn't able to test to see if it worked. ... moreI also checked the files on the hard drive to make sure no personal information was accessible and it appears the previous owner made sure to remove all documents and personal information. I don't know the history of this unit. So I tried to take enough pictures to give a good idea of what you will receive. The terminal is in good physical condition, but it does have some scuffs and scratches. Nothing to significant, as you can see from the pictures. The card reader on the front is detached, which I will leave detached since you will need to get access to the various ports when setting it up. I think it may be missing a screw or two on the front but I will include a few extra screws so you can re-attach the card reader without much trouble. This is a used Micros POS touch screen system. This came out of a Subway restaurant in the last 2 weeks. And was working at the time. It includes a micros thermal receipt printer, cash drawer, keyboard, and cables. It is shown booted up and working, but the hard drive will be wiped and you will need your own software and operating system. The system is shown with the front cover off showing the ports inside. The card reader status is unknown. But I believe it works, but it has not been used in 3 years, due to Subway using external devices for credit cards and not the built in card reader.
