vintage/anitique glass soda fountain dispenser
For sale is what I believe to be a glass soda fountain or dispenser of some sort. It is approximately 8" tall including the lid. I believe it to date from between the 1930s and 1950s based on the appearance of the glass. There are a few minor imperfections in the glass including what appears to be a small crack or chip on the top side. It feels smooth to the touch and is localized in one spot. The lid also has a significant crack which may have been glued. There are a few minor chips near the lid too but on the whole the piece is in fair condition for its age. The metal spigot is missing its original rubber housing(which has been replaced with removable electrical tape) There would presumably have been a lever attached to the spigot to stop the flow of liquid but it is missing as well. Custom made STAINLESS STEEL SODA DISPENSER with 50s CORNELIUS COLD DRAWER & TAPS
This 4 tap fountain soda dispenser is a mixture of old and new. The base/body of the unit is made of stainless steel and appears to be in good condition. It also has a stainless sliding shelf/tray and there is stainless drip tray attachment that hangs onto that. The shelf comes out completely to access the items inside. It will look great after it is all cleaned up! The countertop on it fits perfectly but appears to be an older style counter top so an large one may have been custom cut to fit the base. The countertop easily lifts off as shown for access. The four 50s era taps have 3 Coca Cola handles and 1 Quinine Water handle. One of the Coca Cola handles had the name covered by an older Sprite decal or label. The taps are set in an extremely heavy Cornelius Premix Cold Drawer that is on sliding brackets. It has a stop so it does not come ... moreall the way out. Research on the patent number(2871675) show this was made in the late 50s. The patent drawings make it appear that a refrigerant ran into the drawer itself. You can enter that patent number into Google Patents if you want to check it out. Inside the bottom of the unit you will find two soda kegs and some more hoses and fittings. As stated in the condition statement we do not know if that is every part you will need to run four taps so use your judgement. You will receive everything shown inside. It is dirty on the inside wall but it all appears to be syrup. Fluid can be heard in the kegs so the unit and/or kegs must have been laid on their side at one point for them to leak out. The majority if not all of it could be cleaned up with a throughout cleaning. The unit measures approximately 49"T x 23"D x 30"W overall. The stainless base alone(no countertop. Taps or attachments) measure approximately 20"D x 28"W. Please read through the condition statement thoroughly and view all the pictures. Great Looking Collectible Piece! Perfect for restoration or display Approximately 14 1/2" tall(with pump) 4 1/2" wide and 7" deep There are number markings on the bottom. But I have no idea of the maker on these and research has turned up nothing. The porcelain is in fantastic used condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few scuffs from use and some rust stains to the interior. The porcelain"Orange" label on the pump is cracked and the pump mechanics are missing a stabilizing rod and possibly a spring.
