I have had this 1973 metal Nixon inaugural Parade Route metal sign since January 20th or 21st 1973. My recollection is that beginning in 1973 the metal signs were placed along the actual parade route only. The"no parking" signs for the side streets were made of paper. Dekalb Seed Tin Sign 1940s Patina
Up for auction is an all original Dekalb tin sign from the 1940s. The sign measures 18" by 4.5" roughly on the thick end of the corn cob. The sign had a green leaf part in the center that has since been cut off and is long gone. The sign is all original with great colors and patina. The sign has all kinds of dents. Gouges, rust, tears and is warped in shape = which would be fine if it's nailed down flat.
