The steamer will hold 4 Sterno cans but you will not need more than 2 and it will keep dogs and buns hot and fresh for 6 hours. I do not have the umbrella as shown in one of my pictures. Vintage Star Steamro Hot Dog Steamer
I got this hot dog steamer at an estate sale and have never personally used it. I plugged it in and it got extremely hot on the bottom. I only plugged it in just long enough to confirm that it worked(approx. 30 seconds) so hopefully that didn't do any damage to the heating element since I didn't have water in it when I tested it. I unbolted the bottom cover to show two pics of the heating element so you can see it. It might be good to eventually replace it for a more modern one in case this one ever burns out or quits working. I've never tried putting water in it so I have not fully tested it. Because of this I'm selling it as untested. There are minor dents in some pieces and may be other imperfections and blemishes. Its dirty and could use a good cleaning. I'm not planning on doing any more cleaning on it before shipping ... moreso you'll receive it as is. As far as the rest of the condition goes the pics say it all so zoom in and take a closer look.

This is a circa 1973 Tabletop cooker. It was for sale new in a furniture store that went out of business in 1973. It has been in storage since then. It looks almost new. It may have been used for store promotions. There are some scratches on the edge of the lid that goes in the center and small scratches on the front red edge below the cooking portion. There no dents. Chipped paint, wounds or rust. I have not cooked with it but I did plug it in and the heating element works. I let it set with 1 inch of water in it for about 30 minutes and saw no leaks. The cord looks good.
