HOBART L800 80 QUART MIXER WITH REBUILT MOTOR 1 YEAR WARRANTY This is for the sale of a Hobart L800- 80 quart planetary mixer. It was owned by a major pizza chain here in Nova Scotia. And they converted it to 220 volt 1 phase from 220 volt 3 phase. This involved the use of a capacitor, and the capacitor failed causing the motor in turn to overheat and burn out. The motor is being rewound by a very good shop here and will be finished this week. The motor will come with a 1 year warranty. You will have the choice of having it delivered set up for 3 phase or set up for 1 phase(with a shutoff in case the capacitor burns out again) You can have everything set up so that your electrician can wire it either way(in case you are planning to move and possibly need to change it later) It comes with a dough hook, an 80 quart VML 80 Hobart bowl and a ... morebowl guard. I started to paint it but the local Hobart dealer only had 1 can of paint so you will need to finish the painting. One more can should do. The gears look very good and everything is in good working order. The electrical shop will test the motor with me witnessing, after they reassemble it. Included in the price is shipping to USA/Canada(excluding Hawaii and Alaska) to a facility with a dock. We can deliver it anywhere but there may be extra charges if you don't have dock height/forklift, maybe an extra $100-$200.

I need to explain a couple things before we get too far along. First: This has nothing to do with a Hobart mixer. I just put Hobart in the title to capture people looking for their larger mixers! Second: I listed this as"for parts or not working" because I do not know if it works and I am unable to test it because I do not have access to 3 phase power. You may just need to put a new plug on it and it may work just fine or the motor may be blown. I just do not know. I purchased it at a liquidation auction of a restaurant supply business that went under. It was sitting in the back and not on the showroom floor. I do not know if it was in for repair or was a trade in on a new mixer or what. They are over $21.000 new here on eBay, Amazon and ckitchen with a $34,000 new retail price(they won’t let me include a link to it but just look ... moreit up) These are not the cheap Chinese Hobart knockoffs but made in the USA with parts from Denmark. It is a monster and is about 6 1/2' tall. It weighs about 1.300 lbs. Even if it does need $1,000 in repairs it would still be a steal at a fraction of the cost of a new one or even a used Hobart 140qt. It is in really good shape visually except the wear on the face plate above the"on" indicator light. Sorry there is no bowl or attachments. Third: I listed it as local pickup only because it would be $800-$1300 to have it freight shipped. It is still strapped to my trailer(sorry that is also why I was unable to get any good pictures at a distance) and I would consider delivering it within a 150mi radius of Orange County. CA. for $1.00/mi round trip(you would have to come pay for it and the delivery cost before I drove it out to you) Sorry also no Paypal on local pickups. I had a fine gentleman buy something from me and asked if he could pick it up because he was local. I said sure.
