This is a newer style heat motion lamp replacement shade. It's not an old Econolite or LA Goodman. I'm not sure what brand it is. It is made of plastic and measures 9 1/2 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches wide. It is oval shaped and the opening on the bottom measures 4 7/8 by 4 1/2 inches. Here we have a very unusual infra-red heat lamp from The J.H. Eastman Co. Pat. 2275745 Model#200. Originally designed as a piece of medical equipment in the 1940's. Based on its appearance It would make a great display item in any environment. Movie& film or stage, photography. As you can see this light does work as it should. The overall condition is very good with minimal finish wear. There are 2 areas of adjustment, where the light yoke meets the base and on the sides of the lamp itself. As pictured the dimensions are 17" tall x 12" deep and 9 1/2" across. Cord is in good condition. Marked on the bottom"General Electric Thermalux Infared Portable Heat Lamp" The piece stands about 12" tall positioned as shown in my photos. The light bulb is encased in a metal cage. The bakelite base is about 7.5" by 6" There is an adjustment knob on the base allowing the lamp to turn 360 degrees(all the way around) horizontally and 180 degrees vertically. The lamp cord has a standard US plug. In good used condition with some signs of age and use. I will include the bulb as is. Currently working, I don't know the number of hours used. On one side an old pioneer styled sailing ship is visible. And the other a light house amongst the crashing waves. The outer cylinder lamp itself is in Near Mint condition. It has no dents. Chips, scratches, or loss of color. There is a little dis-colorization at the upper and lower rims. The lamp works well. But there are a few'fan' flaps missing from the rotating interior, these can easily be replaced by making a few handmade ones. Lamp still rotates. But is slow to start. The addition of the missing flaps will help restore it to new. Lamp has the original stand and shows no corrosion or defects.
