Belshaw Donut Frier 718LFG & HG18C glazer, w/ (36) 17x25 glaze screens
We have here a Belshaw donut setup. Consisting of a 718LFG fryer and HG18C glazer. I bought these at the closing auction of a grocery store here in Lincoln. I don't have the gas line to test the fryer, but I was told they were in use a couple weeks before the auction and are in good working order, and I'm selling them that way. The fryer has a plastic bag covering the tank lid, I presume to keep it somewhat free of shortening mess. I think the electric line for the fryer is just for ignition of the natural gas, although an LFG model technically does not require one according to the website. I'm not sure if it's 120 or 240v, but it's definitely single phase. It does*not* come with a shortening tank- normally this would go under the fryer. IN ADDITION you get*36* glazing trays, which are easily $500+ in value by themselves. ... moreThere appears to be two types; flat mesh stainless ones, and wire mesh ones. They're in plastic bags, and many still have shortening stuck to them, so I'm just leaving them in the bags. I do have a model F depositor. But I did not get the bin or arm with it. They may have sold those parts with other stuff- at the time of the auction I was not aware of the depositor and how it worked and what it should have included. Custom-made Styrofoam Plane Donut
Google insists that I must mean plain donut when in fact. I do actually mean PLANE DONUT. This is a custom-made donut(or doughnut if you're fancy) that I made for a trade show many years ago. It serves no purpose other than to prompt people to ask. What is that? to which you can answer, Plane donut. Duh. It's been hand-sculpted out of a block of styrofoam. Sanded, painted, and decorated with little plastic planes. There are a couple of wonky spots in the styrofoam which were painted over, and one spot on the back where I decided to test whether or not I could spray paint the donut to speed up the process. Did you know that spray paint melts styrofoam? I do now. This would be an excellent addition to a donut or bagel shop or as a conversation piece in the kitchen. Art Deco Bakelite Thick Donut Beaded Necklace, Rare Estate Find
This 1930s carved Bakelite necklace is one of the most dramatic and unusual ones we have seen. Pieces such as this one come from high end collector estates and some. Such as this one, is a truly rare find. The Art Deco machine age feel is very evident in this necklace. More so than in the cameo ones. The thick carved beads have no faceting and the curves are smooth. Highlighting the depth of color in each. Their color ranges from deep brown marbled ones that almost look like wood and the red ones. Which range from barely translucent to deep, dark and marbled. The in between elements include flat disks at the center front of the necklace and hand faceted cocoa brown round beads. The largest center bead has a circumference of 3.5 inches. VERY SCARCE* OLD VTG 1940's WWII ERA WREATH AND STAR DONUT BUTTONS DENIM CHORE WORK FARM BARN JACKET COAT JEAN This offering is for an old original vintage Blanket Lined Denim Chore Jacket with Wreath and Star Metal Donut Buttons that dates from the 1940's to early 1950's. There are no makers or size tags in the jacket but th jacket is easily an extra large in size. As noted. The jacket features metal donut buttons, each embossed with a prominent wreath and star design. All of the buttons are in place and in excellent condition. The collar is a dark navy blue corduroy, another nice feature. The blanket lining is thin, soft and comfortable and in very nice condition with light wear. There is one small ½" hole on the front side of the jacket between the two left pockets. Otherwise, the cuffs and collar have light minor ... morewear and there is some minor light scattered soiling. Rare INVERTED Donut LANTERN - Kamplite IL1 - JC HIGGINS Model 710 74020
Offered is a vintage"donut lantern" or inverted camping lantern marked JC Higgins on the label. I have had the Kamplite lanterns in the past and they are rather tough to find. checking online I see that this particular lantern is quite scarce. Very few show in Google search and the only one that I found that is for sale is priced at over $800.00. The top is stamped: JC HIGGINS Sears Model 710 74020. I think the lantern was built by AGM/ American Gas Machine Co. for sears sometime in the 1950's or early 60's era. An online lantern collector's page"tgmarsh" states the following about this lantern: KampLite Model IL1 inverted lantern, the first lantern in this series, here made for Sears under their J.C.Higgins brand. This model had two spherical nuts, not screws, holding the ventilator on the top and the older ... moreand presumably more expensive pump assembly. The lantern has some edge rubs and wear on the original blue paint but I think it looks very good overall, the globe is original and is marked Heat Resisting on the side, it is in perfect condition. The white enameled reflector piece that is under the lantern and above the globe has several chips in the finish. Being curious I wanted to test this and I filled with Coleman fuel, the lantern works great and it puts out a strong light. The tank holds pressure, the pump knob must be turned counter clock wise to open a check valve before pumping(took me a while to figure this out) after pumping up the tank(40 or 50 pumps) you close this valve. It is a bit tricky to light, I found no instructions and if you turn the main knob it quickly gasses up the interior of the globe and will scare you when it pops
