6 Unusual 1939 Golden Gate Exposition Postcards - Donut Tower, Salici Puppets +
Up for auction are 6 different postcards from the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition in San Francisco. One card features huge steer horns(9 feet! and a champion Hereford steer from the F. C. Kimble Ranch; another advertises the Donut Tower on the Gayway. There are 2 cards promoting Salici's Puppets. A show at the Hall of Western States, and the other two cards are from the Bank of America operations at the Fair. The Salici cards measure a bit longer than standard size, show some wear on the corners and have a few samudges. The other 4 cards have a linen type finish, in very good condition. All are postally unused, with a notation on the back made by a GGIE visitor July 20 1939(see photo 6 here) See photos for captions on the backs. These cards were give aways at the Fair. This is a Used Belshaw DR 42 Doughnut Drop motor. It looks to have little to no wear and spins freely however its not tested. Im not sure on how to test it so if you advise me how to connect the power to the pins I can test it for you.

Thank you for viewing my auction! These gorgeous vintage shoes are wedges with donut hole heels. The footbed reads"size 9B 468 Genuine Leather Upper made in Brazil Style 32201 44B MAJ. Although they are marked a size 9. Please use measurements for a correct fit since vintage sizes tend to run small! The foot bed heel to toe is 10" and bottom of shoe toe to heel is 8 inches long. Platform at the front of shoe is a little over 1/2" tall, and the wedge at the highest part of the back is a little over 3 1/2. These are in great condition with a few scratches here and there; I would keep them in they were in my size!
