Thermo-Kool Walk-in Freezer: Commercial, Restaurant model # 457166
Up for sale is a used Thermo Kool Walk-in Freezer model# 457166. The freezer was part of a restaurant that closed a couple years back. We have moved it slightly out of the way to do repairs on the building. It is currently disconnected from the power source. The freezer is roughly 7' x 9' inside. It will need to be recharged from sitting and needs a leak repaired based on our service person taking a look at it. It appears to work other than it kicks out on low pressure(we think this is because it is low on refrigerant) The door is heated. According to the manufacturer it shipped in 1980. Buyer responsible for disassembling and moving. Metal shelving inside freezer is included. We are selling this as is with no return. We have done our best to describe what we have observed. I purchased these Commercial Walk-In heavy duty Freezer/Refrigerator Hinges(3) and the Cylinder Locking Latch Assembly at a Estate Sale. And I know little about these things. They are all made by the"Kason Hardware Corp. Brooklyn.N.Y. There are 2 No. 1055 7/8" heavy duty Hinges that measure about 13 1/2 inches folded to one side, and 1 No.1038 Hinge that measures about 12 inches. Then there is a Kason No.50 Cylinder Locking Latch Assembly, that measures about 9 inches accross, and is 3 inches high. I dont have the key, or the latch piece the locking lever goes into. Checking the NET, I found that these parts are still being sold by B.A. Refrigeration( each Hinge $425.00, and the Locking Latch for $300.00) They also sell key replacement kits. Commercial 2 Door glass door Freezer, merchandiser, was used for ice cream cakes
This is a 2 Door. Glass Door Display Freezer. 50 cu ft. uses new type refrigerant R404. Doesn't look to have been used much at all. It has one of those compressors built like a diesel engine. I believe it is a Copeland discus compressor, not sure of size, but 2hp or less I guess. This has a leak in the evaporator and HVAC person could not repair the leak and Baskin Robins bought new one. This can be repaired for the evaporator leak in a shop but not on a service call in a small area where it was located. On the back side there is a water drain tube and connector broke when I loaded it, it is possible to glue it. The size is 79.5 high x 52" wide and front to back counting door handles is about 37" Not sure on the weight but guess it 500lbs. There is no place around to buy a new one like this for less than 4K.
