This lovely set cup and saucer was manufactured in England by Royal Doulton and is part of the Majestic Collection. The blue on white pattern. Real Old Willow, features an idyllic Asian coastal village scene with birds, trees, and homes. Each cup is 2 3/4" with gold trim around the rim and a wide blue patterned band which is also trimmed in gold. In addition. The village design can be found on the bottom of the inside of each cup. The gently curved saucer is 5 3/4" with a scalloped rim. Offered is this charming set of FOUR semi-porcelain china demitasse coffee cups and saucers in the classic blue-and-white pattern known as Real Old Willow by Booths. Made in England. The pieces are numbered A8025. The Oriental design includes willow trees and a pagoda in the tradition of Blue Willow china. The inside and outside rims of the cups and the rims of the saucers feature a cobalt blue geometric border. Below that is a brown and white diamond pattern. Then the Oriental scene in the center of the saucers, the sides and centers of the cups. The outside edges and the handles are trimmed in gold. A thin gold band appears on either side of the brown and white diamond design. We've newly acquired this lovely set of bouillon cups and saucers from a local family. The pattern is quite remarkable. Featuring geometric borders in a deep blue, complimented by gold line detailing on both cup and saucer. The double handled cups have a unique lightly footed shape. The saucers are deep and have nice rounded sides. This set is in good estate condition. There are no breaks or repairs. Though there is one cup with a hairline fracture. There is also crazing and staining present on each of the cups, to varying degree. We have tried to include enough photos to give you and idea. There is also crazing to most of the saucers. This is a great set that still has a lot of life to it. Each piece is marked with the Booths crown. Dating from 1906.
