I am very pleased to present a wonderful silicon china tureen lid in the OLD TIME pattern(A2460) by BOOTHS made in Staffordshire. England. T his beautiful Imari colored piece has lots of 22k gilt. Indigo and ochre trim on the outside edge surrounding floral swags in tan, yellow, green and ochre. This hand-painted lid was produced in 1924 judging by the date stamped on other pieced of this service. It is in outstanding condition and shows no wear nor gilt rub-off whatsoever. The colors are vibrant and there is a lavish amount of gold. The slotted lid is superb. It has no chips. Cracks nor hairlines. There are a few crazes on the inside center in the excess clear glaze near where the knob is attached. The knob is a big peony bud surrounded by gilt-edged leaves. The bowl features a floral bouquet on the inside bottom that has pink shaded roses. The border has tiny white flowers with dark blue centers on a blue backround. There are smaller versions on the floral design on a white backround on the border. The rim is trimmed in gold with thin gold bands bordering another band of flowers below the border. The bowl is in very good condition. However there are some utensil scratches on the inside bottom along with a small dark pottery pop. The bowl also has gold wear. Saucers measure approx. 6" All four sets in f air to good condition. No chips. Cracks. Or scratches. L ight. Tight crazing throughout. O nly noticeable if you are up close and really looking for it.
