Undercounter reach in beer cooler
I bought this with a clear out deal in a closed restaurant. I wanted other items and what I wanted was conducive on taking this in a bundle deal because the owner was having a hard time moving it. I didn't have my heart set on it because of the color/ appearance of it. My plan was to refinish it and maybe line the interior(wood) with something to make it more efficient. Was told this was from the 70's if so its in really good shape does need a good cleaning as it has stains and a few nicks here and there however nice display. doesn't look like it was used much or at least it was cared for. There are NO broken parts and the Plastic cooler measures 14"long x 14"tall to top of handle x 11" wide front to back. handle locks the top as its suppose too. first photo the white lid appears much brighter than actual color on cooler. I tried different photos however keeps showing up really bright. With no flash can't see the dang thing will try to add more photos? the white lid portion is dirty with stains not bad but does show some signs of staining from age may clean up however I can't say that it will! Scarce aluminum Griesedieck Bros ice chest. This is a fairly large cooler. Measuring approx 24" wide x 13" tall x 13" deep. I presume that this item dates from the 1950's, as Griesedieck went out of business in approx 1957 or 1958. Has embossed advertising on both sides. The latches, handles, and openers are all present and work well. The item has plenty of wear and patina, including scratches, scrapes, paint loss, dents, dings, rust, dirt, etc. The lid has plenty of dents and dings, as most of these old coolers were also used as makeshift chairs, workbenches, etc. The gasket has degraded and will need replacing if you plan on using it for other than display.
