The can has some discoloration, and a few dents. The inside is very ledgible. The can is 5 1/8" long, 3 1/8" wide, and 2 3/4" in depty. I do not see a date. This is vintage Dustfoe#66 Respirator for dusts and mists. From Mine safety appliances company which was approved by the Department Of The Interior Bureau Of Mines. I'm sure that the respirator has been used but has a new filter. This unit is in very good collectable condition. The tin container shows wear and a little surface rust in places. This is a very rare Aluminum Dustfoe respirator from the B.F. McDonald companies LA California. The only place you can find anything on this is the Smithsonian Museum of American History.
