Interesting and different this quilt top is a mix of black and white and tan. The blacks and whites are c 1920 shirtings. Gingham and mourning prints. these prints were popular around 1900. The pieced blocks are set together with a tan print solid square. This is a very sweet print with stylized hearts on a vine. I haven't been able to identify the pattern.could be variation of Road to California or Road to Oklahoma. Cal. is a nine patch and this is a four patch as is Ok. The top is 71"x87" and is in very good condition. There is some age yellowing and light stains. One plain block has a small light blue stain. Finished this would be a very striking quilt!

Quarter sections are shown, to see the fabrics better. It looks like all cotton to me. There is hand stitching at 5-8 spi, mostly with thick white thread. The flower centers are yellow, a couple have some age discoloration. It has been washed& lays flat. There are no flaws seen, but there could be something small missed. There are no odors. For your consideration is this vintage 1930's- 1950's Double Wedding Ring pattern. Hand pieced quilt top from southern Missouri. It measures approximately 66" wide x 76" long. This wonderfully scrappy quilt top is put together with many varieties of colors and patterns of feed sacks, flour/sugar sacks, and other vintage fabrics. The top is skillfully and beautifully hand pieced. With approximately 7-9 stitches per inch. Although the main blocks measure about 10 1/2" the very tiny ring pieces are only 1" x 1 1/2" The setting blocks are plain. White cotton. It is in very good condition. However. It was washed at one time, and the 1/4" seam allowances do have some fraying. But it is minor, as you should be able to see in the close-up photo, and I believe there is still plenty left to work with if quilted. ... moreThe white filler blocks on the edges around the top appear to have more fraying and I think may have to be stabilized. The top also has some storage spots sprinkled around in a few areas. Which is probably why it was washed. But they are very light and should come out if it is very gently soaked with Oxy Clean and hand washed. However. I don't believe they detract from beauty of the top. Also. There are a few mends and patches in the white filler pieces, but they appear to be old and I believe were done by the quilter. In those days, the women used what they had on hand, and I think they give the top more character. Hopefully, you can see the very tiny hand stitches in the photos. Please keep in mind that this is a vintage item.it is not like new. I try to inspect and describe my items as carefully as possible. Superb Vintage Sterling Silver Georgian Meat Skewer Shape Desk Top Letter Opener from Sheffield This Desk Top Letter Opener measures approximately 8 inches or 203 mm in length from end to end and is just over 7/8 of an inch or 2 3 mm across the width or diameter of the ring at the top of the handle from side to side. The letter opener is made from sterling silver in the shape of a Georgian meat skewer that has a blunt letter opening blade on one side of its top and bottom edge with a ring on the top of its body or handle. It has Not engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram all as photographed below and the upper body or handle has been impressed with a full set of English sterling silver hallmarks that read as follows, C B& S- English Rose- Lion Passant- stylized J C B& S is the Sheffield silversmith or makers mark ... moreof Cooper Brothers& Sons Ltd. The English Rose is the mark of the Sheffield assay office. The Lion Passant is the mark of English 925 standard sterling silver and the stylized letter J is the date letter for 19 83. The condition is used and near Mint for its age. The Letter Opener has No Dents. No Splits, No Cracks, No Holes and No Repairs that I can find, the letter opener is straight, the definition is crisp the silver hallmark is slightly rubbed or worn but still legible although as this is a used vintage desk top letter opener it does have some extremely minor surface marks and wear from use along with the patina of age that is to be expected and a gentle clean would not go amiss. Personally I think that this antique style letter opener can still be used today and that it would make a superb addition to any collection, I also think that it has a delightful antique look about it considering its age. The drawers are all there. As well as a piece that sits in the bottom drawer(see pictured photo) There is also a piece thats used to secure the hangers farther back that is pictured. The hinges are all working however need to be cleaned. The locks appear in very good condition. No keys. These trunks were the very best. Right at the top with Louis Vuitton, Goyard, M. M. Please note it does has a fair amount of patchy surface corrosion(see photos) But this actually makes it look pretty cool and adds additional'rude'ness to it's appearance. However if it really bothers you, get some decent cymbal cleaner and a little elbow grease and you could probably clean up it's act! Please note this is for a single top cymbal, not a pair. This cymbal have never been polished and have absolutely no cracks or key holes. Here we have a fairly rare guitar. Especially in this condition. This is a super nice Washburn MG-700 Mercury Series. Some of you already know about the Mercury series, but many may not. It is one of the hidden treasures of the guitar world. Basically Grover Jackson, yes the guy that helped start the shred guitar revolution in the 80's by founding Jackson Guitars, worked for Washburn from 1992-1996. This was after he sold off Jackson. In his time at Washburn he designed the Mercury series, some were ... moreUS models and some were high quality imports. Both the US made and import guitars are now collectible as there were not as many made as most other production models. Obviously. The US models bring in the most selling fequently for 700 to over 1000 depending on the model. This model is one of the higher end import versions. The highest model being the Sammy Haggar MG 810. Then it goes 701. And then this one the 700. This one is in what I would consider collector condition. With only some swirl marks and a couple of super minor impressions in the finish. The last picture shows the only finish flaw I could get the camera to pick up and with some good buffing I think it will come right out. There are no neck pocket cracks, the gold hardware shines with no real wear to speak of. If you look close you can see just a touch of fading on one edge of one saddle on the bridge and maybe just a little on the very edges of some of the tuning knobs. Even all the gold on the screws is still there. The frets are shiny and have barely been played. The neck is straight with a nice amount of relief and good action. 1996 Takamine NP-45C Ceder Top Japanese Acoustic-Electric Guitar+Case-Very Rare
I'm looking to sell my 1996 Takamine NP-45C acoustic-electric guitar. This guitar has been discontinued for quite some time now and is getting harder and harder to find; I haven't seen one on ebay in a long time. It's Japanese made and a fantastic instrument to play. It is in excellent condition with only a couple of very small marks that have been noted in the photos. It is an excellent playing and sounding guitar with new strings just installed and freshly setup. It has a rounded cutaway. Solid cedar top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, with a rosewood fretboard and bridge. 20 fret fretboard with special marker at the 12th fret to match the purfling around the sound hole, gold tuners with amber pearloid buttons, onboard Takamine preamp with volume, battery check and 3-band EQ with mid-sweep. The nut and the 2 part bridge ... morewere both just replaced with factory Takamine parts by a Takamine authorized dealer and a great tech. The serial number is 96100164. The guitar will come in a locking Roadrunner hardshell case with a few love spots, but hey, that is why the guitar looks spectacular.
