We bought item and the company we bought it from believed it worked and since it was hardwired to the restaurant it was pulled from, it probably just needs a new plug. Full Disclosure: I have not personally used this machine. I am an equipment reseller. However I talked directly with the prior owner who used it before selling it to me. They plugged it in for me and ran the compressor so I could see at least that part working(without any cream in it) After it ran for a minute. I could feel one side of the machine was getting cold. When it fired up. One of the belts inside started squealing, and the owner responded with genuine surprise. He said it was working flawlessly when they retired it a year earlier. I believe he was being honest. My guess is that the motor was a little sticky from sitting. I think it would loosen up with a little use or some light maintenance. However. I am not a technician, and I don't really know much about these. I'm giving you the information that I have so that you are ... morehappy with your purchase and are not surprised. It looks to be complete and in pretty good shape. But since I am not equipped to do a complete operating test. It will have to sell as-is. Almost used Taylor soft serve ice cream or yogurt machine. We own a frozen yogurt shop and this machine was used for catering and promotional events but only used about 10 times. I doubt we'll use it again so interested in selling it. It's air-cooled and is the latest model with agitators.
