Large Versatile Round Clear Glass Covered Pedestal Cake Pastry Stand Plate Dish
I love these large clear simple cake stands that allow your baked goods to be the star of the show. This particular one also has an added feature. Turn the plate upside down and make this the base. Turn the dome cover upside down and place on the base and presto, you have a punch bowl or serving bowl! Pretty neat trick. The condition of the plate and cover is quite good. There are probably some faint surface scratches but no chips or cracks. This set is large. The diameter of the plate is 12 3/4" and 4 3/4" high. Vintage Electoplated Nickel Silver LOXLEY Pastry Set (See Pictures:-)
Vintage Loxley Pastry Set consists of two boxes. One box has 6 pastry spoons and one box has 6 pastry forks. Found these in my late grandmothers cabinet. Was a piece of paper taped to one of the boxes that said 1956 so I assume that's when she received them or earlier. The spoons and forks are 5" in length. They are very old and need a good cleaning. They have NEVER been used and are in flawless condition as well as the boxes they are in. There is a pamphlet"from Sheffield England" inside the box with information about the company and there authenticity and the story behind them. There is a personal letter from William S. Rogers to my grandmother regarding this item signed by Mr. Rogers as well. The set also comes with the Customs Declaration for the pastry forks. Bristol, Conn. The forks were manufactured my the American Silver Company and are silverplate. The forks measure 6 1/8" inches long. The forks are marked with American Silver Company world logo and the 1906 patent date. The forks are in EXCELLENT condition with little to no wear. There are no monograms.
