This auction features a vintage Alaska Hostess Freezer 4 Quart hand crank ice cream maker. The ice cream maker is totally complete and working and comes with the original box. The box shows the original mailing label which reads as follows- From: Peerless Freezer Co. Winchendon, Mass. To: Sperry& Hutchinson Co. Store#0151. 4242 W 42nd Place, Chicago, Illinois. Just as a historical anecdote. Sperry& Hutchinson Co. was the distributor of the old S&H green stamps! The ice cream maker was manufactured by The Alaska Freezer Co. Inc. Winchendon, Mass. USA. One side of the box reads:Model 632 and under that 4M1009. This ice cream maker has great vintage graphics on the box with statements such as"Make ice cream the easy way.no mess! no bother! and"tops in quality and performance Low in price" and"Tub made of tough. ... moreRugged, reinforced Fiberglas" It has the original sticker on the outer bowl of the machine and the sticker is in pristine condition. The top metal portion of the cranking mechanism is a light green metallic color as is the crank handle and still has the sticker in the middle which reads: Multi Action Freezer" on top portion and" The Alaska Freezer Co. Inc. on the bottom with a woman's silhouette in black at the very top of sticker. The paddle is metal and plastic. The outer fiberglass bowl is a blue/green color. The only defects that I can see are the rust spots on the metal bracket where the carrying handle attaches- picture#8. Rust spots on the inner metal portion of the stirring mechanism-picture#6 and light rust on the outer lower seam of the inner metal bowl-picture#7. The outer fiberglass bowl has what appear as scratches but are just the way the fiberglass is composed, may have normal wear. Other than that, item has normal wear that can be expected for the items age and the fact that it is used. The box also has some wear and is missing one side flap on the top. I am selling my top-quality portable powered Ice Cream Freezer Cart and Sink. They were used for one summer in 2012(2 or 3 times a week) at farmers' markets around the Bay Area. I was able to run them both off a Honda 2000 generator. The sliding glass-top freezer has 4 compartments which easily holds 2 gallon tubs in each compartment for a total of at least 8 gallons of product at once. You can go up to 4 3-gallon tubs if you wish. The separate portable sink includes a water pump. Water heater, 7-gal fresh water supply tank, and you have the option of getting up to a 15 gallon waste tank. The 15 gallon waste water tank is not included, but can be purchased online for $100. Mine was old and used and I threw it out. Built into the sink is a 3 compartment ware-washing basin and I payed a little extra to have detachable drain boards installed ... moreside by side with the ware washing station. Also included in this package is a sneeze guard which goes over the freezer. An umbrella can be inserted into one of the four different corner slots on the sturdy freezer base. The freezer base sits on heavy duty casters. The freezer and sink are NSF standard and will pass any rigorous inspection process by your local health department and meet their requirements. This was certainly the case with my local health department here in Marin county. California, which has the strictest regulations and will make you jump through hoops before you're allowed to vend at public events and farmers' markets. Offered without reserve is an old antique hand crank ice cream maker/ freezer from an estate. This is a very well made old appliance that was built to last. The crank housing is cast iron. I read a while back that these were sold by Sears and Roebuck or Wards and I think that they were made for them by White Mountain. The top of the crank mechanism reads New Freeze Zee 48, made in the USA, I suspect that it would date back into the 1930's era. The bucket is in good overall condition with some wear to the old paint, overall it looks very good, it would look great displayed in a country or Victorian kitchen. The crank works well and spins the paddle inside the drum while the drum turns in the opposite direction, it was made to be cranked counter clock wise. It stands approx. 15" tall overall, the bucket is about 13" tall by 11" ... moreacross the top, the drum inside is about 11" tall by 6" wide, 4 qt? or 6 qt. The side of the wood bucket has a drain hole near the top, I think this used a cork as a plug and it looks about the size you would find in a wine bottle. There is a bail type handle on the side with original old dark red paint on the turned wood handle, I think it is very attractive, hopefully someone can put it to good use!No Reserve! have fun bidding! Neat Old 1950's Miniature Ceramic Salt & Pepper Shakers-Ice Cream Freezer & Dish
Item consists of a unique old miniature ceramic pair of salt and pepper shakers. They are an ice cream freezer and a dish of ice cream. The dish is approx. 1 3/8 inches across and the freezer is approx. 1 5/8 inches tall. My grandmother collected these and would often mark them on the bottom with a number or with the date she got them or where they were from or who gave them to her. These actually have a Younker's price tag of $1.00 for the pair on the bottom of the freezer. Please note these are decorative only and do not have stoppers in the bottom. They are a great set in nice condition but please note the dish has a tiny surface ship on the edge by the spoon and the crank handle is broke off and missing on the freezer. Vintage White Mountain 6-Qt Ice Cream Freezer Maker w/ Jack &Heintz 1/3 HP Motor
I got this from an estate sale last year and just got it out of storage to list and discovered it only needs a belt and the part on the base of the bucket that keeps the canister in place for it to work. The motor runs great very nice smooth and very quiet. You can use the handle to replace the pulley if you want to hand crank it. It doesn't look like there is any rust inside the canister but it should be cleaned good. Everything including the wood platform and everything attached to it and bucket are all in solid condition. This is a 1971 Chevy Ice Cream Truck. Runs and Drives Good. Diamond Plate Aluminum flooring added in the last 3 years. Freezer works well. Tires are in good condition. 8 song music box. All lights. Blinkers and flashers work. Horn is currently disconnected. We Installed 2 rear, manual inflate, airbags for leveling heavy loads. This truck was just recently filmed for a Direct Auto Insurance Commercial which will be coming out soon. The transmission pan/gasket is currently leaking, however the transmission is mechanically sound. There is some rust and subpar bondo, but we liked the character that it added. There is no glass or plastic in the serving Window, that was by design, we simply store it indoors or plug the window with a plywood plug. Vtg Antique Peerless Hand Crank Ice Cream Maker 4 Qt Barrel Wood Freezer Churn Description Up for auction is a antique hand crank ice cream churn maker. I believe it is Peerless brand judging by the logo(3bar logo with number 4~ 4qt mark) on top of the crank part otherwise no markings. Larger 4 qt size wood barrel body and cast iron top and crank. The inside churn portion is immaculately clean for its age looks like it was never used as far as the inside goes. The outside has patina and age wear including some oxidation aged nicely for display. Original orange wood handles on both crank and bucket handle. Light blue wood body. Hand crank turns as it should with no issues. It measures about 16.5" tall with the top on. And just the wood barrel height is 13.5" tall X 11" across the top. Overall a great old piece.
