This is a 1854/55 Crimea Medal named to French 2nd Batt Rifle Brigade with the Bar Sebastopol. The medal has no initial as it is worn on that side the surname French can be just made out though(see Pic) In the Book Rifle Green in the Crimea there are 3 soldiers with the surname french in the 2nd Batt see picture for 2 of them. The other is named 4390 George French he is listed as not being entitled to a bar. Medal has a few knocks as picture shows but is still a very nice item for your collection. Vtg Golf Clubs Bag w/Bar Tools & BIG Golf Ball Ashtray Plus.. Lot
Father's Day is just around the corner. For the golfing enthusiast Dad is this bar-tool golf bag and ashtray. The ashtray is an extremely large golf ball with a removable insert. It is entirely made of metal(probably aluminum. As it is lightweight with a weighted base) except for the protective velvet bottom. This stands 5 inches tall and the insert opening is about 3 inches in diameter. It is in very excellent condition, with no damage that I can see. Even if you don’t smoke, it would make a wonderful pen holder with the insert removed. A very unique and uncommon item from the 60’s.very cool, for an ashtray. The club bag is made of heavy vinyl and holds an array of chrome metal barkeep tools with golf club ends. The‘tees’ have no use that I can see except as decoration to add realism. They are removable. The bag is about 6-1/2 inches ... moretall with the tools varying in length. All are in splendid condition showing no use. The bar tool is old brittle red plastic. Shaped like a golf bag and holding golf club swizzle sticks. The bag has a corkscrew and bottle-opener attachments. It is approximately 4 inches tall and the“clubs” are about 5 inches long. The bag is in OK shape…it is old and brittle. And I wouldn’t depend on it as your sole corkscrew/bottle opener, but the clubs are in very good condition, quite usable if you like. It is a fairly unusual little set from the 50’s-60’s that you see very rarely anymore, and worthy of any golf paraphernalia collection. These are offered as one lot. Don’t forget Father’s Day!
