This is a old clock in good working condition. I plugged it in all night and it seems to keep good time. The bell goes off when its suppose to and the wood is still in fairly good shape. It has the name Margret Aotor or Aator scripted on the clock face along with Made in Germany. This is a highly detailed piece. There are no seams anywhere on this clock The clock runs for a while and then stops. It is 9½ inches tall. 9 ¼ inches wide at the base, and 3 inches deep. It is done in a hard faux material. The clock body is a scene of a man and woman from the French Colonial 17th century. The woman is posing next to the clock and the man is playing a violin. There are flowers by the man. There are 2 Gargoyles sculpted as table legs and ferns with flowers under the clock. On the top of the clock are two babies sitting on a bed of flowers. There are tooling ... moremarks that can be seen in certain spots. The clock is 2½ inches in diameter. Trimmed in brass and has a nice patina. Vintage Gilbert Mantle Clock ~ Converted to Battery Movement Originally. Judging by the body of the clock itself, this would have been an electrical clock-that and the style of the clock dates it to the 1940's to 1950's. In the recent past, someone has carefully removed the electrical works and replaced it with a modern quartz battery movement. I have checked the new movement but without success; perhaps it needs replacing again. The clock body is very dusty. It has the scars and scuffs that come with age. However. Those are easily taken care of with scratch-cover and polish. The face is in quite good order, and it is clearly marked Gilbert. The stamped numberals are clear and easy to read. Vintage Sessions Ornate Brass Mantle Electric Clock (runs fine)
This is an antique brass mantle clock by Sessions. There is no stamp or marking on this clock to prove that it was created by Sessions. I asked another EBay seller who sold one recently(exactly like this one) and she told me she did find a reference in an Antique Publication- stating it was a Sessions Clock. I bought my clock from an EBay auction in March 2001. I still have the paperwork. I am listing this as pre-owned- because it has probably visited a few owners in the past. This clock measures 11” tall- 6-1/2” wide and 3” deep. The clock face has numbers done in gold color lettering and also has hand painted blue and pink flowers. The back of the clock mechanism is open. The bottom of the clock is open. It appears there was green material covering it at one time. But that area is now open. There is a small nick in the electrical cord- ... morewhich I will wrap a small piece of electrical tape around before I pack it. I plugged it in for 2 days solid and it kept good time. It works! There is slight discoloration on the back side of the clock. Near the top. You cannot see this from the front. I find no other cracks. Chips or other damage. It does make a slight whirring sound as it runs. I have done nothing to the clock. Outside of cleaning the front scroll areas. Hello. Up for auction is this outstanding find, of a high quality, rare, heavy, well-made, working mantle clock that was produced in"Great Britain" about 65 years ago and signed on the movement by"Smith's" There are wooden feet on either end of the case underneath to lend support. The dial is surrounded with a hinged brass metal bezel with a nice patina. There is a convex glass crystal, inset into the bezel; no cracks or chips that I can see. The bezel is secured with an intact pin latch, yet opens easily to allow access to set the current time, and wind the clock, and chimes, through the three winding arbors located on the dial. There is a metal lever on the left side of the dial, that allows you to enable or disable the chiming activity as you wish. The back of the clock features a hinged wooden door that latches ... moresecurely with a metal knob. It opens easily to allow access to the key wind, mechanical movement, signed by Smiths and for hanging the brass metal pendulum. The back is very convenient for key storage too. The clock winds in front on three winding arbors and lasts for about eight days on a single wind. This clock plays music too! At the quarter hour mark, the clock plays a beautiful, four-note melody on five golden metal chime bars inside the case; eight notes at the half hour mark, twelve at the 3/4 hour mark, and the full sixteen note melody at the top of each hour, the clock will then chime the current number of hours at the top of each hour. The clock comes complete as shown, with a brass metal, adjustable pendulum, and the metal winding key. This is a beautiful old clock and the ideal size measuring 9 1/4" at its highest point, 4 1/2" deep, and 12 1/4" long. The clock works quite well here, keeps good time, and the chimes are truly heavenly though, keep in mind, this is an old clock and I don't know the service history, so some adjustments, or service may be necessary once the clock arrives at its new home. Clock has an 8 day movement and it runs good and has very beautiful sounding Westminster chimes. 17" wide by 5" deep counting nobs by 8 1/2" tall. No chips or cracks. From the estate of a New Hampshire clock and watch repairman is small time only movement. I cannot find a name, only the numbers 14 on the front and on the back 5 4-6-74. The frame is 3 1/2" tall x 1 1/4" deep x 2" wide at the top x 2 3/8" wide at the bottom. It has all its parts and works and a note that said for Ansonia mantle clock. From the hand shaft to the winding shaft is 1" Shipping weight is 2 pounds for a cost of $6.00. If you buy two of my movements I can put them in a medium flat rate box.

New York. missing the key, seems to run fine we used it for quite some time and on occasion if it didn't get wound on time its chimes would get confused. Chimes on the hour and half hour. Here I am selling a high quality mahogany mantel clock made by Elliott and retailed by MAPPIN& WEBB LTD. The brass dial has applied silvered chapter ring and brass spandrels. The floral engraved centre of the dial is signed by Mappin& Webb Ltd and also by Elliott. The dial is covered with glass which is in good condition with no scratches. The decorative blued steel hands are also in good condition. The 8 day platform escapement movement is in working order and keeping time. But I would suggest having it serviced. The clock is wound and set from the rear with a chrome plated winder and hand setting button. The case is in superb condition and only has a few minor marks that would probably go with a good polish. The case is raised on four brass bun feet and has a brass carrying handle on top. The case also has four brass decorative ... morefinials on top. Underneath the clock is stamped 3012. 1/75 and J.H. It is also stamped MADE IN ENGLAND. The dimensions of the clock are 240mm High(to the top of the handle) 160mm Wide and 86mm Deep. French Wooden Ebonised Carriage/Mantle Clock with Alarm function dating from the late 1800s/1900 in working order. This still attractive antique clock stands 14.8cm tall.12.7cm wide and 8.5cm deep and is colored black( I think its called ebonised.this is in good condition,so may have been redone at sometime.Looks good anyway. Dont know what the wood is as its all black) The back door has a little brass handle and a brass Fretwork'Window' There is also a brass carrying handle. Enamel dial is good with slight hairline cracks. One in right bottom corner and one in the centre,bottom of dial. The dial has black Roman numerals marking off the hours and there is a dial to show the alarm setting. All hands are in black with the hour/minute hands having a moon design near the tips. The surrounding edge of the dial has a brass bezel and the ... moredial glass is in good condition. 8 Day movement runs well,keeping reasonable time but could do with regulation. Alarm key sometimes slips when winding but with persistence alarm function can be fully wound to time setting desired. Repair would not be a major problem.There is a seperate winding key to wind timing mechanism. Only markings are on the backplate in the form of an oval symbol with V.A.P. Brevette, S.G.D.C. within. Vintage Apollo Clocks- one working. One for parts or repair. These are not alarm clocks- they are time only. The Apollo on the left in picture#1 is the one that works. The case is in good condition- no dents, but there is paint loss and scratches. The plastic covering the face also has scratches. The parts clock has a large crack in the plastic, paint loss and rust on the case- but hey, here's a positive- no dents! The paint on the face has chipped off and is residing behind the plastic. ANTIQUE FRENCH JAPY FRERES MANTLE CLOCK IN HAND PAINTED. SIGNED PORCELAIN CASE WITH ORMOLU AND RAISED GILT This auction features a late 19th century French Japy Freres mantle clock in a hand-painted. Signed porcelain case. This clock is a gorgeous old piece. 16" tall, 7-3/4" wide across the front and 4-1/2" deep. It has not been cleaned up and has s oil. But no damage. The clock's front is hand painted with a c herub riding a swan and signed. Carle. The swan motif is repeated in t he finial on top with two entwined swans. The case is a very pale pink shading to white at the portrait with green and raised gilt detailing on the sides. All framed in ormolu and resting on four feet. The clock face is gilt metal with some rubbing of the Roman numeral letters near the key holes. The works are marked Japy& Freres et Cie. Med. ... moreD'Honneur(I believe) and numbered 7432 and 6. INGRAHAM MANTLE CLOCK PALACE MODEL This is an 8-day mantle clock made by The Ingraham Co. in Bristol. Connecticut during the 1920's. It has four short pillars supporting the large decorative window panels on either side of the dial. There are lion heads on either side. It is larger than usual. This is an Antique 4 Pillar Adamantine Mantle Clock Mfg. Unknown. All Original& Complete to our knowledge. It runs 5 to 7 minutes and quits. It does chime on the hour and bell dings on the half hour. It does have adamantine pillars as seen in picture#3. Has a few marks in case. I was told I should put a drop of clock oil on but left alone as purchased. Inside back cover says 11-30-27 cleaned. It measures approx. 16" wide at base(including feet) x 11" high x 6 1/2" in depth. Pictures pretty much tell the story or we have tried to show total clock& condition. Model 3927 is another lantern produced for the military. This one is unusual in having two colors.Maybe swapping out parts in the war,and rare Coleman type tip cleaner assembly. The fount is steel as are many other parts suggesting that it was made during World War II. It was found at a fleamarket in indiana This two burner white gas model is probably rated at 300 cp.

Classic Art Nouveau New Haven U.S.A. Gilt Mantle Shelf Clock Cupid Cherub Finial
From a local estate. This wonderfully ornate mantle clock was manufactured in the early part of the century by the New Haven Clock Company in New Haven, CT. The clock stands approximately 10 1/2" tall with a 4 1/2" base. In the Art Nouveau style that was popular at the time, the heavy metal gilt case features a highly detailed design with a cherub or cupid holding a laurel wreath finial. The clock itself has a glass covering over the white face, which has some light brown stains(see photos) It does tick when wound and seems to keep time. Overall, the piece is in good used condition, but we are hesitant to keep winding it, to see if it keeps good time, so we are selling it"as is" One of the 4 screw heads that holds the clock in place is missing, so it is a bit loose.
