Please read entire ad and view super sized pics before bidding or asking questions. On auction today I have 2 Hickok Cardmatic 123A tube testers. This one was"Made for Silvertone" as per the tag riveted to the top. It is IN THE RARE BENCH TOP METAL ENCLOSURE. Though nor shown, the following manuals have been downloaded and printed and will be included. Cardmatic 123 Instruction& parts breakdown manual, Cardmatic 123 tube tester manual& Cardmatic 123 Service manual. These manuals are also available on the BAMA mirror site. This item DOES WORK but I don't have cards to test all sockets/tube types, nor do I have calibration cards or calibration cells to check calibration so I am listing this tube tester strictly"AS IS" FOR PARTS OR REPAIR" AND"NON REFUNDABLE" I have all cards for 6sn7 family tubes, ... moreall cards for all 6dj8 family tubes and all cards for all 5687 family tubes which I used to check known good as well as bad tubes and I got reasonable readings for all HOWEVER, since I don't have tubes and cards for any other tubes or sockets other than Octal, 9 pin mini or 7 pin mini it is unknown whether this unit will test them.hence my listing it as is, for parts or repair instead of used. THERE IS STRICTLY NO RETURN/NO REFUND ON THIS ITEM. It is in good cosmetic condition for it's age but as expected it does have signs of wear. When I got it it was missing the card reader cover so I manufactured one and installed it IT LOOKS NICE and PRETTY CLOSE TO ORIGINAL. It was also missing the grates covering the calibration pots and again I manufactures some and installed them AND AGAIN they look good. They are painted silver Hammer tone. The case is painted green Hammer tone. I installed a new grounded AC cord and 2 rectifier tubes as the old ones were shorted, which fried a few resistors which I replaced and as stated the tester now works but is sold as for parts or repair because functionality of the sockets I don't have cards for is unknown and the accuracy of the

HICKOK 539C TUBE TESTER WORKS WELL, CLEAN, TESTS HAM RADIO AMP MUSIC
This offering is for a nice HICKOK 539C TUBE TESTER. The case is solid and presentable. But it does show signs of use. But it has done, and continues to do- it's assigned job of providing protection to the tester. The tester itself is very clean, and seems to work well. This is a fairly complicated tester, I ordered a high-quality, color operator's manual so I could test the unit, this manual will be included with the tester when shipped. The roll chart is dated SPRING 1969, and rolls smoothly. All the meters work smoothly and properly, push buttons work properly, I do not find any problems with this tester. Hiowever, I am not familiar with a tester of this complexity, so I cannot atttest to proper functioning of all the various moptions and tests possible with htis Hickok. So O am selling it as-is, but I do believe it does basic ... morefunctions properly, and likely all functions etc. The 539C seems to work well, I have attempted to compare the test results to the results on my recently calibrated( by Dan Nelson in AZ) TV7-D, but that is not so easy to do since they have different scales.but a tube that tested borderline bad on my TV7-D also tested to be right between acceptable and bad. So I believe the tester to be working well, but I have always believed a tester of unknown calibration date should be re-calibrated to be really accurate on all tube types. All testers should be calibrated every decade or so, if the user wants extreme accuracy. They test a wide range of tubes, with a total of 14 sockets for different types of tubes. All the hardware woeks great, the latches, hinges, and the heavy duty handle all function properly. somewhat corroded. but all work fine. Unit weighs 19 pounds, shipping weight well packed and insured. I am happy to answer questions, so please feel free to ask. It is in working condition. But have used it mainly for testing power tubes so I cannot guarantee all types test accurately without a complete evaluation by a technician. Hickok 800A Calibrated& Everything Within Specs Includes 9& 12 pin Compactron Hickok 800A Tube Tester 1971 More Pictures Below Description This later 800A model has a calibration adjustment pot. That can be seen in the pictures, that is not on the earlier 800A testers. The CA-4 adapter is not needed since this can test all tubes up to 9 pin mini, and the 9 and 12 pin compactron. There is an abundance of available information including tube data available at no charge at Bama: Went through all the calibration steps and checked all the voltage specifications and they were all virtually perfect. Plate voltage. Bias voltages at 100, 75, 50, and 22, signal voltage, screen and low screen voltage, filament voltages and checked with 6L6 loaded, shorts test, and calibration tubes. The picture with the DMM is showing the tester set at the line, ... moreand a 6L6 in the socket and the filament/heater voltage reads 6.29 volts with the tube loaded. The line voltage being correct is critical to obtain proper Gm test results and so is the heater voltage. This later versions of the 800A has a calibration adjustment for the AC line test. Adjustable resistor R24/ 100K is used and is the the POT with the blue knob pictured. Many Hickok testers can still be calibrated. But with a tube in the socket the filament voltage drops under 6 volts and you get low Gm test readings. Tested a 6L6 calibration tube that tests with almost exact Gm at 5500 and the tube calls for a Gm of 5475. Tested a 6AX7 calibration tube that tests at 1400 and 1450 Gm and the tube calls for 1400 and 1440 Gm and are pictured. The 6ax7 is not on the roll chart and located in the obsolete tube data. It is all original including the two tubes. The 83 and 5y3gt that were tested on a Hickok 752. The 83 tests at 1050 in both sections and 600 is the min. The 5y3gt tests at 625 on both sections and 400 is the min. This tester has the original grounded plug original to the tester and the roll chart is dated 1971 and turns smoothly. Here is a very old antique Clough Brengle model 105 Oscillograph oscilloscope from 1935. In what I would call excellent physical condition(is certainly VG+) and in working(sort of) condition. 1" screen, I get various traces but I am sure that some of the resistors and capacitors are out of spec from being 80 years old! As you can see in photos this piece of test gear is in great shape with very little wear, the front panel is in excellent shape, all controls move/turn smoothly and evenly, leather handle excellent, please note that the 4 screws that hold front panel to metal cabinet are missing. Would be a great addition to any antique radio test bench. Relisting due to some bidding errors now cleared up, and offered with no reserve and low opening bid.

I have tested 100's of tube on this tester but is much more tester than I need and I have several other testers that will do the job for me. This appears to be built in 1969 judging by the date on the roll chart. All knobs and roll chart move freely. Also included are the instruction manual. Obsolete tube data manual, foreign tube data manual and a double wire bound test data manual, and double wire bound instruction manual. I found it much easier to look up tube data in a double wire bound book! As with all of this old equipment it can probably use a good calibration although it has done well for me. Hickok 533A Tube Tester- Gold Edition! I used this tester for several months as my main bench tester. It has a nice bright meter face and smooth meter movement. It has been a solid performer. There is no top to the case and the case has had the tolex removed and/or is not the original case and is painted black. This will make a nice bench tester for someone. The tester was within specs when I bought it and is still within specs so I have not modified its circuitry. I did replace the aging 83 tube with a SS regulated 83 unit with a 13.4 voltage drop. If the buyer would like me to add the plate current test modification that I do. I can add that at no extra charge. T The roll chart is dated Spring 1970 and moves freely end to end. Therefore I'm listing this for parts and not working. As you can see in the photos the plug has been replaced. The face is clean. I have not tested all the sockets since all I have is guitar amp tubes and that is what I used it for. It gave a me a good idea of the strength of my 12ax7's of which I have about two dozen. when checking my brand new el34 tubes the mutual conductance was right on the money with a couple of other testers I have. This is a very nice comb-bound reprint of the instruction manual for the Hickok 600 tube tester AND MUCH MORE. There are now 85 pages in this book. I got the original from a retired Army Signal Corps officer. He spent the last 40 years compiling this information. The first section(11 pages) is the regular operator's manual including several pages of data for testing ballast tubes. Calibration instructions, and a big 11x17" fold-out schematic. I have added 8 pages of calibration& maintenance info contributed by friends. The next section is a copy of the roll chart for the 532-533-533DM-534-534A-534B-600 testers. Code Number 3200-44 dated 11-1-1961(23 pages) This will save a lot of wear& tear ... moreon your roll chart. Hickok data supplements included: Bulletin T-101 dated 9-11-1950(1 page) covers 27 sub-miniature tubes. Up for sale is a Weston 686 10a tester. This is the Holy Grail of tube testers. A lot of people prefer this tester over the Hickok 539c. Overall its in Excellent condition. The Hickok 799 Mustang is Hickok's only Solid State tube tester that they produced. This particular unit has had one upgrade which is a new capacitor on the meter. The one removed was good and will be included. The tester is calibrated per the calibration instructions and works perfect. The unit itself is in great condition as you can see in the pictures. The Hickok 799 Mustang includes the instruction manual(dated 1965) and tube data that is in addition to the tube data on the unit itself. The tester does measure micromhos but does not provide a direct number for micromhos and uses a good and bad scale for Gm with numbers up to 1000. You can still match tubes ... morewith this unit. Vintage Hickok Model 752 Tube Tester With Manual And Accessories
Here for considering is a vintage Hickok Model 752 Tube Tester. This tester comes with its original manual. And the accessories that were left in the rear storage compartment of the case. I am offering this as-is, because I am not sure if it is fully functional. It does power up, and I did a line test, and it does work as well(photo 3) All the knobs and buttons do function properly. The roll chart is present, and there are no issues with it. It does scroll up and down, with no problems. The tubes that are with the other accessories are untested, so I am not sure if they are good or not. But they came with this, and will stay with it, if sold. Overall, this is in cosmetically good shape. The metal protective corner pieces, latches, etc. do have surface rust. Latches and handle are intact, and do function properly. All 539 series testers that I have owned or seen have always been in a black cloth covered. Wooden cabinet; This is the only one I have ever seen in a metal cabinet. It is a very late version for the date on the roll chart is 1972. This is the cleanest 539C that I have ever seen. I am not sure about calibration though. According to my search on the net. It appears to be very close to Hickok M-1, Military TV-3, TV-7, or Hickok 600. Of course, it has the military quality above a typical Hickok tester. It comes in original metal case, and a pamphlet of tube data. What you see in the photos is exactly what you will get. Note- the Hickok 800 tester is one of the few Hickoks that can measure tube leakage on the meter! The only difference between the 800 and the 800A is the 800A has the compactron sockets which this unit does not have. But compactrons can be tested on this unit if you have the CA-4 adapter. The tester has been modified to test Plate Current using the diode test points just under the meter. Instructions on how this works included. Hickok 539B Tube Tester with "Brand New Meters"
I have completely re-conditioned this tube tester to excellent condition. I replaced all the meters with brand new Simpson Meters. Purchased and calibrated from Roger Kennedy at All Tube Testers. The roll chart is brand new old stock in excellent condition. The resistors and caps are new. I replaced the internal tubes. Cleaned all the switches and pots with Caig Deoxit and calibrated the instrument. I installed socket protectors on the two I used most. Installed a new power cord. I cleaned all the metal parts on the case. There is one small tear in the cover, you can see it in the pics. Comes with the manual and accessories.

TV-7B/U Hickok tube tester for parts or repair
For auction a TV-7B/U Hickok military tube tester. This tester has been cased in a TV-7D/U marked case. The cosmetics of this tube tester are excellent. New data book, all accessories are present. All original knobs. The tester is functioning, however there are some issues it needs to be calibrated, there is some erratic testing of some tube numbers, shown in one of the pictures I am testing a 6BM8 and it tests fairly accurate, the line test works correctly. This tester can be used as it is, however to perform correctly repair and calibration will be needed. I am offering this tester AS IS, due to the above work that needs to be done. It is basically an upscale version of the ever popular TV-7. Like most other US military tube testers. The TV-10 is a mutual transconductance tester designed by Hickok. This unit is in excellent conditions. The case has been oversprayed, it has been tested and is OK working conditions, it is wired to 115 volts, copy of instruction manual is included. Features Uses the mutual transconductance method of measuring tube quality. This is the most reliable method known for assessing tube quality. The TV-10 reads the mutual transconductance directly on the meter in micromhos while the TV-7 only reads a relative number on it's meter. Hickok 800a Tube Tester - Calibrated - Plate Current mod - Quick Cal Mod
Hickok 800A tester- Calibrated- Plate Current Mod- QuickCal Mod. Cosmetically the case is a little rough and the meter face somewhat faded. But the tester is calibrated and working well. Price reduced accordingly, if you not looking for museum quality case, and just want a good working calibrated tester this might be the one for you. The electronics inside are very clean. Please see photos for more details. Note- the 800A tester has the extra sockets to do the compactron tubes(without a separate adapter) It is also one of the few Hickoks that can measure tube leakage on the meter! The tester has been modified to test Plate Current using the diode test points just under the meter. Instructions on how this works included. It is important to test idle current when matching power tubes for class B or AB operation. The diode function is intact ... morejust not hooked up and can be hooked to a 1/8" jack if needed and retain the plate test. But any modern DMM can test diodes, while tube testers that can test plate current are rare. This tester is the newer vintage of the 800A with the voltage set pot(see blue dial in interior pictures) This tester has been upgraded so that the clunky adjustment rig R15 for bias and reduced screen voltage can be quickly and easily set. Calibration results- Plate Voltage = 151(nominal 150 +/ 5V) Screen Voltage = 132.6(nominal 130 +/ 5V) Reduced Screen = 56.2(nominal 56v +/ 3V) Bias-39.1(nominal-39.3v +/ 1V) Bias@22 =-3.0(3.0) Leakage test= pass. Filament 6.4(6.3) 12.4(12.6) AC Signal= 2.5V(2.5) Very nice results for this field tester! A Noval and Octal socket saver have been added to ensure the most common tubes test well. HICKOK SIMPLEX NU TUBE TESTER circa 1934 S-36 E-38
Hickok Simplex Tube Tester model NU? The meter states this is a Model NU or that may just be the model of the meter- no other model designations found other than the chart attached to the lid just states this as a Simplex, I can find no specific info for a Model NU doing a WEB search. This appears identical to a picture of an S-36 I found on the WEB, the E-38 also uses the same circuit according to other info found. Listed separately and NOT included with this tester are six Octal adapters found with this. The chart for the adapters shows them for use with models S-36& E-38, the socket designations on the adapter chart do not match the socket markings on this tester, an attempt was made to test a 5U4 on this tester with the adapters without success, so a difference may exist between this and an S-36. A Type 26 known to be weak was tested ... moreand this does appear to function at least to a point anyway- see pic. The tester does show its age but overall nothing real bad, the original cloth cord is still okay but the plug needs replaced, there are tares/holes/wear in the tolex cover but the wood case is solid, the user panel does show some minor wear and there is rusting to the exterior metal surfaces- see pics and ask questions, this is sold as-is for its collectibility only- no refunds no returns. I have inspected& calibrated the tester: 1. The sockets are tight and in good condition 2. The unit is calibrated to within manual tolerances 3. Both rectifier tubes have been replaced with Strong tubes 4. Switches and buttons are tight and fully functional. 5. Original cord was rotten- it was replaced with a quality 3-prong grounded cord 6. All Switches and push buttons have been Contact Cleaned and lubricated. 7. The meter gives accurate results. 8. Hickok Model 6000 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Checker For Repair Work
Vintage Hickok 6000 Tube Tester. I plugged this tester in and turned it to the on position. The meter moved up towards the? mark. I plugged a 6l6 tube in and it warmed up but when I pressed the test button the meter goes from? down to 0. Might be an easy fix I just don't have time to mess with it. Looks all original even the cord. Sold for repair or parts. Not a plug and play item. Please see my other listings for more vintage electronics.

Vintage Hickok 550X/OZ1 Tube Tester with manuals and Microampere Accessories
The set has been in dry storage since 1946. The microamperes and related parts were found individually wrapped in 1946 newspaper. They were located in the same type black box as the Hickok tube tester. They seem to fix together so it is being sold as a package. All will be shipped by ground and carefully package for shipment.
