Original 539B Operating Instructions book- 12 pages and schematic- It shows much wear and is stapled at the spine to hold pages together(stapled rusty) Some pages are loose. There are some stains. Tears, and some writing. Hickok Test Data for Models 539B& 539C- It shows wear with wrinkles and stains. It must have been wet at some time. Two pages are stuck together in a couple spots and two other pages have some small surface tears where pages were stuck together. It has roll chart pages. For sale is a vintage HICKOK 800K/ 600A tube tester. Basically this 800A model is the same as 600A circuitry except it has better knobs. and gold ionized face plate. Below are few negative side of the item: The tube roll chart damaged. I replaced with tube chart in operation manual which included. Mercury evaporate Rectifier tube 83 has been replace with 5z3 tube. This will need re-calibrate to get correct Mutual Conductance reading(meter indicated lower than normal) Other than above issues. TV-2C/U Military Army Tube Tester TV-2(Hickok) Working Great Condition This is the granddaddy of all the military-grade tube-testers. I purchased this straight from the original owner a year or two ago. It is in amazing un-molested condition with the original documentation. I have printed an additional chart for tube test settings. The roller chart is intact and works. This unit is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. You just dial in the settings according to the different columns. The meters all respond and appear to be accurate. I have not performed a calibration as the unit appeared not to need one since I received it. The manual details the process of how to do this if ever necessary. You will notice that the meter reads percent quality instead of Gm. There is an easy to use formula to convert and information regarding this ... moreonline. The condition is overall really great. One of the rubber coverings for the red test lead is coming off. I would advise just putting two new in. I never needed to use this so I left it alone. As you can see in two of the pictures I was able to test some tubes for you. The faulty pot was discarded and is not included. Easy to install. Last calibrated about ten years ago. I also believe this sat in their large storage area for almost 20 years or possibly even more, seeing absolutely no use during all that time! When I acquired it around 1998 I completely disassembled and properly cleaned everything.including all of the controls with mild contact cleaner to remove any oxidation.Before I plugged it in. I did this just for a matter of course, not because it was exceptionally dirty or in need of service! In the last 17 years or so I have used this to test about 100 tubes.maybe. This is for a Hickok model 6000A micromha tube tester. This tester looks to be in very good condition. I know nothing about these so ill describe the best I can. The only fault I see is a little wear on the red outside of the case. I did not plug the tester in because I would not know what happens anyway. I can not imagine it not working as clean as it is. I bought this at a recent estate sale.The previous owner had several testers.This one was in a box and was very dirty.I gave is a cursory wipe down,checked to see if it had tubes,put a fuse bulb in it and tried to power it up. Nothing. The 83 tube doesn't look too good and I don't have another one so that's the only testing that was done to it. I don't have time for another project so I'm passing it along. KS-15750-L2 Western Electric mutual conductance tube tester made by Hickok
Up for auction is a model number KS-15750-L2 tube tester made for Western Electric by Hickok. It is being sold as-is and untested(untestable due to the frozen switch) It is missing the rectifier tubes. The roll chart and many of the front panel screws. The short/tube test switch is frozen solid. All other switches and pots move freely. The filament switch is a little gummy feeling. It feels like the shaft needs lubricating. The case paint is scratched, stained and oxidized and the front panel needs cleaning. Note: Those things that look like drops of rain on the front panel are drops of rain on the front panel. Just started to rain when I took the pictures, it is pouring now! The sun was out when I took the rest of the pictures so nothing got wet underneath. Here's an I-177B manufactured by Supreme that uses the classic Hickok transconductance measuring circuit. This unit works fine. It's been calibrated and it works fine. See the last 3 pictures for the cal data. The cosmetic condition is very good. These are really nice testers for checking vintage tubes. It checks 7 pin miniatures but not the 9 pins. You could make adapters for for testing these. Keep in mind that when testing mutual conductance to put left pot in gm position.tube charts provided more test data can be found on the net at the bama site. I used the same procedure to check the calibration as with the other one I have which I calibrated a few years ago.Bid high and bid often. All contacts deoxited and amp switch contacts cleaned. No warranty is implied due to its age but guaranteed not dead on arrival. The case has been repainted. Oh also new 83 and 5y3 tubes. This is the famous Hickok 539c Tube Tester which I purchased in 2012. Then was sent it directly to C-tech in North Carolina to be calibrated, checked and repaired to be made in perfect working order including all three meters which was done. You can read the label which was placed on it upon finishing the job which indicates exactly what was done to it. Tube chart roller moves perfectly. When it finally got to me in NY I only used it once since 2012. But I paid to get it done correctly. I really love it and I know I'll never get another like this one but I must sell it. I just have too much stuff and this must go. There are two booklets included. Instruction manual and a 1970 copy of the scroll information which I purchased in 2012. In this auction is this interesting piece of tube radio testing equipment. It is a Hickok traceometer model 156. This was used to find problem points in tube radio circuits. It seems to function as a voltmeter and ammeter combination. It still has all the old test probes which are often missing. This piece does have some rust on the bottom so I did not plug it in to test it. I am selling it as is and most likely not functioning. This unit measures 16x11x13 inches high and is pretty heavy.

This is a very user friendly Tube Tester if you are in the market for one. This is a very nice Hickok model 600A. I have tested over 8 different tubes on the tester and it seems to work very well. The roll chart is tight and turns freely. The tube cap squeeze clamps are included which look original. two different sizes) The power cord is very good. Based on the overall condition of the casing and the face itself. I would say that this tester has seen very little use. The serial number plate is attached to the case. The handle, latches, and hinges are secure and work as they should. Latches have some surface rust on them. The case reflects less than normal wear for its age. Also included is an Operating Manual and a Supplimental Tube Chart. The line adjust and meter work well also. All of the knobs are tight and function as they should. This listing is for a NICE TV-7U TUBE TESTER that works. But would benefit from a calibration to be really accurate on all tubes. I have compared it to my recently calibrated TV7-D(calibrated by Dan Nelson in Az) and a 6L6g output tube tests the same as my TV7-D, but a 6BQ5 tests lower than my workhorse. So I believe the tester to be working well, but it should be calibrated. All testers should be calibrated every decade or so, if the user wants extreme accuracy. These sets were designed by HICKOK, and built under goverment contract by a number of contractors to the same exact specs established by HICKOK. They are also TROPICALIZED, further reducing the effects of time on the tester. They test a wide range of tUbes, with a total of 9 sockets for different types of tubes including the early 4 pin fubes like 80, 5U4G, 6SN7s, 12AX7s etc. I nrepained ... morethe case, it had already been repainted, but the paint hed rubbed off in many areas and did not look that great, so I repainted it. Here are just some of the +++ with this machine. It will check about any consumer vacuum tube you may have from antique 4. 5, 6& 7 pin, octal, loktal, 7& 9 pin miniature, nuvistor, 12 pin compactron, 9 pin novar and also wire lead sub-miniature tubes. 7& 9 pin straighteners built in on the face. You can also check both sides of a dual triode without changing any selector switches by simply the push of a button. Can't find the number your looking for on the test data provided, no problem. Manual shows you how to test them. All you need is a tube manual for the number you want to test and owners ... moremanual will show you how to set the switches ~ easy. One of the best all round testers available in this price range. I have cleaned all switches and controls with DeOxit and replaced the two tubes(83& 5Y3GT) with new testing tubes. Roll chart goes from end to end without any problems and all controls operate as they should. Meter does not stick. Adjusts to zero and line adjust is perfect. As you can see in the pictures the test results of a 6V6GT in my Amplitrex AT-100 testing at 4.480 on the Gm. Then I show it testing in this 752A at 1,120. This is in the X4 range so 1,120 time 4 = 4,480. This tester is dead on. The face has a few mars on it but nothing serious and has really nice print. The case shows it age somewhat but is a very solid case. I have taken all kinds of pictures so you can judge physical condition for yourself. All in all. A very nice tester. Here is a used vintage Hickok Model# 752 tube tester. Manufactured by The Hickok Electrical Instrument Company. Originaly purchased in 1959. Purchase includes an additional used paper tube sheet reel. Has a custom black hinged case with rear storage compartment. Front handle, and 2-latches on front; has metal protective pieces on all corners. Approximate measurements of the case: 18-1/2" x 17" x 7-1/4" some dings, but for the age, pretty good condition. Approximate weight is about 22 pounds Designed to be used using 115-Volts AC at 50-60 Hz. Serial number under the handle reads: 241 10138 Included with the tester are a couple of small adapter cables. I'm not sure what these are used for. The instruction manual is not included. Hickok 750 Tube Tester Working But Uncertain Of Calibration
This is one of the well respected Hickok 750 tube tester that is working and testing tubes but not certain of need for calibration or service. The tester panel is in nice shape and all controls seen to work well and smoothly. The case shows use and is soiled and somewhat worn. One latch is broken and case hardware has some surface rust that should be cleaned off at some point. case should clean up fairly well with some leather cleaner. I am selling as a tester that will power up and test tubes but not a guarantee of exact accuracy or that every function is accurate. In other words I would have it serviced and claibrated. Listed is a Hickok model 605 tube tester. It seems to work. I tested the one tube I have and gave me a good reading. I am no expert and only was able to test one tube so I am not sure if all settings and options work but the unit is in good shape. I do not have extra cables for amp testing.
