This is the test head assembly from a Hickok 6000A. If you have been wanting to replace one of the sockets in your test head. This may be the easier choice. This unit can be replaced from the front of your tester simply by taking off 2 mounting screws and wiggling the unit upwards. No soldering required! HICKOK TV-7 B vacuum tube tester, Calibrated and Refurbed
Offered is a HICKOK brand TV-7/B vacuum tube tester. Recently re-calibrated and refurbished. This one is in nice cosmetic condition. The outer case shows the usual wear. Small scratches, nicks etc, but has its original paint and is in nice condition overall. The tester is in very good cosmetic condition as well, showing usage, but not abuse. There is no need to go into the details about the TV-7 as there is lots of information here on Ebay and elsewhere on the internet. There's lot of them out there. This tester has had a complete repair, recalibration and refurbishment from the great Dan Nelson of Chandler Arizona. Dan specializes only in TV-7's. He had done maybe 20 of them for me and many more besides mine. In addition to the calibration, this one has had its 7,8 and 9pin sockets replaced. These are usually bad on 9 out of 10 testers ... morethat are sold on Ebay and of all of the testers I have owned over the years only one or two did not require replacement. Ferrite beads have been added to the 9-pin socket. These were added to the TV-7/D model specifically to prevent oscillation of high gain tube like 6DJ8's and Western 417A's. They have been added here for the same reason. Both of the rectifiers have been replaced, so the unit now has a fresh#83 and 5Y3. Caps, resistors and other parts have been replaced as necessary. This unit works VERY well and should be good for another decade of use. The total repair bill was around $280.00. If you are looking for a good serviceable vacuum tube tester, then perhaps this one is for you.

I don't know if this would be anything that you vintage tube guys would be interested in. Im retiring a tube tester. This is the original cord. It says"Hickok" on the plug and it is a 2 conductor non polarized type. Honesty. I wouldn't hesitate to use this cord on any of my stuff. Its not cracked and it is very soft the flexible. The cord is right around 7 feet long. It may be the finishing touch to that super expensive Hickok tester that has a replacement cord that just doesn't look correct. Last but not least is this nice looking faceplate to the 6000A Hickok. I have left a few trinket items on it as you can see. The plate is very nice. All the writing is in excellent shape. Even at the top where is says"Shunt" and"Bias" those are bold too but the flash makes it look like they are missing. Edges look nice. No pry marks or bends. Hickok TV-3B/U Excellent Condition Rare Vacuum Tube Tester
Here is a very nice TV-3B/U. Which was made by Hickok. This is quite a rare unit. Especially considering the good condition! Based upon the color of the unit, it was likely made for the US Navy or Coast Guard, but there seems to be a lack of information about this unit due to its rarity. This is physically/electrically similar to the TV-10. It will test all the popular audio tubes and many others for shorts. Mutual conductance, life, gas and noise. Some advantages of this tester over the popular TV-7 series of testers are that it reads directly in Micromhos. The meter was replaced with a new Simpson and much appreciated help was received by the TV-7 guru. Dan Nelson, who helped me have it sourced from his personal supplier, Larson MeterCraft, who duplicated the meter face and calibrated it. The tester works flawlessly, even the ohmmeter, ... morevolt meter and capacitor meter functions are working… Amazing! Switches and sockets are tight and the roll chart is smooth, strong 83 and 5Y3 tubes, and it has a new-grounded line cord. Hickok 533A Mutual Conuctance Tube Tester
Here is a beauty Hickok Model 533A Mutual Conductance tube tester in rare excellent condition. Mutual conductance are the best testers by testing emissions as well as a wide range of other tube characteristics. This tester has been very well cared for- I am the second owner- and the undamaged case very gently shows its age. I have gone over the tester thoroughly and calibrated it with a 6L6 tube according to the included book. I tested many new tubes with it and it was accurate. The 83 and 5Y3 rectifier tubes check very good. I installed a new 3 prong power cord. Only one capacitor was out of spec and I replaced it. All resistors were good-within tolerance. I use a small brush to drop DeOxit on all the socket pins. As you can see in the picture of the guts. The inside is in excellent condition- very clean- the rotary switches are clean- no ... moreneed for DeOxit inside. The wiring is in excellent condition. The meter is in exc condition and responds well. There's a valid note in the book about how sensitive Hickok meters are to static electricity and small electrical charges in the close vicinity. The tube data roll has been replaced and is exc condition- rolls are tight and roll well end to end. The enclosed"Operating Instructions" book is a copy and contains tube data also on foreign tubes and military deignations. A 3 and 4 pin vibrator testing adapter is included as are two small cable connectors for the tube caps when needed. This tester is plug and play and ready to go for years of service. You won't find one in such condition very often. It measures 16 3/4 in wide. 18 1/2 in long and 7 1/2 in high and it weighs about 25 pounds. With packing and a stout box it should ship at about 29 pounds. I will pack it very well and ship to the United States and Canada only. Let me start of by saying this is from my collection and not maybe it works maybe it dont and all that.I have had this tester calibrated about 2 years ago and used it I think twice since then and it was did by a retired hickok technician.I have plugged it in atleast once a month to keep everything good.This is a one owner tester it came from the original guy who bought it and I will probably be sorry I got rid of it as it works perfect as you can see in the picture testing a new 12ax7 tube.The bottom line is this is way too of a nice tester not to be getting used by someone who will enjoy it so I have deciced to sell it and am firm on the price.The case is solid and in great shape and the hardware on the case does have some rust but no bad at all would come off with some polishing.This is a nice tester but just too big for the area I workin ... moreand test tubes.This tester works perfect and I will guarantee not doa and the roll chart works smooth and all.This test like all electronics is sold as is but guaranteed to work as described and no doa the winning bidder will be very happy and it comes with its original operating booklet.The meters all work flawlessly etc and again this is not someones may woirk and all that.Sold only in the Usa and free shipping packed very very well

Nice tube tester from an estate sale. It powers up but is otherwise untested. The case has some wear to the covering. But is solid. The face is dirty and could use a good cleaning. The cord is stiff, but intact. The tube chart roller is out and ripped and probably not complete. This is a great tester to clean up and restore. Here is an ugly duckling tube tester. It needs a meter cover but other than that it is complete. It does work but I'm sure it will need calibration etc. when I tested it the meter seemed to be jumpy also so you may want to check the rectifier tubes in it or the capacitors. Here is a very nice looking tube tester. It has not been calibrated but it is working. We used a Calibration tube that is rated at 5125 and it read 4825 so it is within 10% but reading low. Which is better than reading high I guess. Overall I would say this is a nice unit and can be used right now to test tubes. Also this has the tube socket adapter that will test the 4 pin tubes which is nice. It also comes with the obsolete tube data book. So thanks for looking and enjoy the day. Up for auction is a later model Hickok AN/USM 118 B military grade tube tester of the cardmatic series. This tester was used on US Navy ships to test communications. Radar and weaponry electronics. I purchased this from the estate of a local ham radio buff and the equipment was ALWAYS stored properly in the heated main part of the home. no basement. Garage or attic) I tested several new-old stock tubes and found the unit working properly. The cardmatic unit still has the calibration seal(photo#5) intact and comes with a complete calibration manual and plug in calibration cell. The tube cards number(pre punched and numbered) in the thousands in their own case. Several tube adaptors and all needed manuals, charts and specs. will be included in the two heavy metal cases. Today I am offering a Really Cool Vintage HICKOK MODEL 530B(Military- Tube Tester. It comes in a black case that standing up is 14 1/2 inches wide. 13 1/2 inches tall, and 7 inches deep. The case is in surprisingly good vintage condition. On the case under the handle stamped in white, is a symbol for the US Navy. It has a U, then an anchor, and then an S. I feel that this means that this tube tester was made for the Military. On the inside of the case, on the lower right corner, there is writing in red, it say's- inep W.E.C 12645" I do not know what they mean, but I thought I should mention them. If you know, please let me know. I could use any help you can give me. The closers on the case- open and close just fine and they are in good vintage condition. The handle on the case has been covered with tape but it still works just fine-you ... morecan grab it to lift the tester up. I plugged the unit in and it turned right on. The main dial lite up in colors Red. Green, and White-see picture#7. The AC Volt Meter went up to aprox. 8.5. All of the other plugs. Switches, dials, ect. look in very good vintage condition with no issues or broken pieces. The unit itself is in very good condition- the only issue I could find is on the main dial there is a crack in the glass where the number 0 is. I am a woman and I was not raised with an electrical background. So in no way am I an expert on tube testers. This unit does turn on-but it is untested and is sold as is. Offered is a HICKOK TUBE TESTER. Model 538. This Tube Tester appears to be Complete and in Very Good+ Cosmetic Condition. When I initially Plugged in this Tester the Pilot Light/ON/OFF Indicator Light came on then Shut Off after about a minute or so. The A.C. Voltage Meter shows virtually No Input Power but does Fluctuate somewhat when the Plug End is Initially Connected to a Power Source. I tried manipulating the Switches and Dials with No Change. The Insulation on the Plug End was seriously dried and cracked so I replaced the Plug End but that had No Effect. All the Dials and Switches appear to Function Properly at least Mechanically. I carefully removed the Unit from the Case to check the condition of the inside and included photographs. Everything inside is reasonably clean. The Outer Case is in Solid Condition. However the Rubber Feet ... morewhich were originally on the Bottom and End are gone. Also included is the Original Operating Instructions. Please review the detailed photographs. Stark 9-66A dynamic mutual conductance tube tester in great working condition. Tube compliment are 5Y3 tube and 83 tube. I’ve used this unit to this day, it’s one of four of the same model that are going to auction. The 9-66A is licensed under the Hickok patent to be made in Canada. The 9-66A pretty closely resembles the same unit as the Hickok 533-A and the Hickok 750, seems the only difference is the face plates have different punch out patterns for the layout of the control knobs. the serial# is 5471. shipping weight is 22 lbs and come with photocopied manual and original‘additional tube data’ booklet. Hickok Tube Tester Chart(only) for Models 532. 533, 534, 534A, 534B, 600. Code No. 3200-44 3-1-55 Copyright 1953. This is one of two Hickok roll charts I have for sale this week for the above models. This one is in good condition. The only real defects I see are near one of the ends- there are a couple tears in the data for 12AT6(it's the filament voltage so you know that anyway) and OY4 ballast tube- I penciled it in. The edges near that same end are a little raggedy in some places(see the first photo) but that shouldn't affect operation. There are places that have yellowed with age more than others and a few places it looks to have been folded. But again they shouldn't be any issue to use or legibility. HICKOK KS15750 L1 TUBE TESTER like 539B for parts
For auction. Hickok/ Western Electric KS15750-L1 tube tester, non working for parts. Unit is largely complete but non-functional and untested. The big GM meter has no movement inside, no glass, just a case and a dial plate. The bias potentiometer is missing. The top plate is quite clean and free from scratches and there is little wear around the thumbwheel for the chart. It would clean up and look really good. The transformers look normal and undamaged from a visual inspection. The interior is in good condition, none of the switched are broken and they rotate well and the push buttons feel good. The#83 tube is gone. I would think this unit is restorable. The line adjust and bias plastic knobs are gone, as well as one of the lifting finger D-rings. Calibrated, and All Voltages Within Specifications. The RCA 83 and 5Y3GT are as good as new and balanced. Plate Voltage is 150 and SPEC is 150 +- 2 Signal Voltage is 2.5 and SPEC is 2.5 +- 2 High Screen is 129.5 and SPEC is 130 +- 2 Grid Bias Voltage@ 100 is 40.2 and SPEC is 40 +- 2@ 22 is 2.99 and SPEC is 3 +- 2 Low Screen Voltage is 57 and SPEC is 56 +- 2 Short tests works. All filament voltages are good and with a 6L6 in the socket the voltage was 6 volts which is critical to get accurate results. A lot of Hickok testers can be calibrated, but when a tube is in the socket, the voltage drops too low for accurate test results. It does not appear that the tester was used a lot and the tube ... morechart works from end to end. A 6L6 Calibration tube was very close and measured 5550 and the calibration tube calls for 5475. Very close for a calibration tube measured on a 533A. The plastic caps for the shorts and Bias lamps are there, which is always nice to have, and the adjustable POT seen in the pictures is to adjust the sensitivity for shorts. USED Hickok TV-7/U. The*ONLY* reason I am selling it is I have replaced it with an Amplitrex AT1000. This has been my trusty bench tester for over a year. It has never given me any problems. I have tested tube ranging from 2a3/45/80/50/6v6/12ax7's on this tester. Again. I have had ZERO problems with this tester. That being said, it is sold as working but*NOT* calibrated. I have never opened the case, so I do*NOT* know the condition of the insides. Assume it needs to be calibrated. I will also include a copy of the printed manual and calibrations procedures. Tester includes(1) grid cap adapter and the original tube test data. No other socket adapters are included. These testers are only going up in price. Hickok TV-3B/U Military Tube Tester/ Multimeter, Capacitance- Working Condition!
This is an operating Navy tube/voltage/capacitor/resistor tester. It is unique in that it serves as a tube tester. A multimeter, and a capacitance tester, all in one unit! I took this out of my lab storage(basement) not remembering how to use it but lucky to have full instructions right on the inside front panel! The handy scrolling tube chart using a thumbwheel. List all of the most common tubes from the 30's to the 60's. The common guitar amplifier input and power tubes can be tested for matching without buying $60-80 Groove Tubes! Ham radio operators will be able to check their common tubes as well. If you need to check that a tube is present in the scrolling tube index, contact me(yes, 6V6's are included, I just tested one) Of course, since it is Navy, the case is almost torpedo proof! The first photo illustrates the measurement ... moreof a 6AL5. Twin diode tube just to show that the unit works. The second photo shows the measurement of a 0.1uF capacitor-the meter is amazingly accurate! The third picture shows the measurement of a 3.9k Ohm resistor. And again the meter is amazingly accurate. I guess the accuracy was specified(and paid for) by the Navy. To make sure we could win the war.but which war, I do not know. I do not know the age of the unit but the serial number is#2848. I did not even know that this unit was capable of measuring low values of capacitance until I brought it out today. The case is not perfect so it must have had a few shells come close years ago. I have had the unit for about the last 20 years and bought it just to measure tubes on a VERY infrequent basis since everything I have built has been solid state. But when you need a tube tester. This is just for the audiophile. Guitariest, ham radio operator, or collector.

Has metal Case, this came from a large lot of Vintage Test Equipment that I purchased, I find this tube tester Confusing to use, and from what I read the Tube data is the same as a TV-3u Tube tester, so a Copy of Tube data is included, I have found that it is the easiest to just leave the English dial set at the 10000 mark and read micromhos that way, but I can't find any info or any manuals online, the manual that is pasted to the cover is torn, I compared the readings of several tubes to a TV-7 tube tester and they were Very Close using the 10000 scale, shorts and gas test seem to function fine using known bad tubes, I am not sure if this is Boat anchor or not, I think this tester is for a Collector who likes to restore and collect these things, also the tube chart on the roll was torn at the top so I ... moreremoved the torn part and taped the end back to the roll, but the updated TV-3 Data is easier to use, I opened this tester up and took pics, I am not sure if everything is original or not, the line fuse lamp holder kinda looks newer, but not sure, it is the correct lamp fuse in it.
