Water Jacket Tank 4 Gallon Pressure Tested to 50 lbs psi Hydraulic Reservoir
WARNING- This product is potentially dangerous if not properly installed. If steam builds up in this tank. It will explode and could kill someone. You must have it professionally installed by someone who understands the risks of steam and pressure. You should always have a pressure relief valve installed on the tank if you use it for hot water. You are bidding on a professionally welded water jacket that bolted on the back of my wood stove to supply my hot water. I am selling it because I have installed a small electric hot water heater that I run off my solar panels. And no longer use my woodstove for hot water. The tank is made from 3/16" thick plate steel. And has a 1/2" pin welded in the center so the sides won't spread when it is under pressure. The tank has been pressure tested to 50 p.s.i. and has no leaks. The actual ... moretank measures 18 1/4" x 18 1/4" x 4 1/4" On both sides there is a 2 inch wide strip welded on for attaching the tank. On two adjoining sides there is a 3/4" nipple with pipe thread that extends 2" out from the tank. This tank has only ever had water in it.
