Unusual JOLLE Auto or Bike? Old Style Tire Valve Stem Core Tie Clip Bar Clasp
Thanks to a helpful eBayer. I now know what the item is on the tie clip, it's a tire valve stem core. My husband is a tie guy and wears one everyday and sometimes with a tie clasp but we do not know what or who this one represents. The last picture shows me pushing in the pin or piston which compresses the spring. When released, the pin returns to its original position. The clasp is made by JOLLE and is marked as such. Length is just under 1 3/4 inches and width is 1/4 inch. The gold tone metal is bright and shiny with a very few fine marks or scratches from being rarely worn. The clip is sturdy and closes firmly. Lever operated 3 Position Flow Valve. Ideal for air cylinders or anything else you desire to go up and down, in and out, side to side, back and forth. I have seen these used in foot controls, air horns and so on. This particular one has been acting as a paper weight on my desk since yesterday and from what i have been able to tell, it's working great, also known to operate pneumatic relays, piolet valves or just a good old on off switch. This unit is in good all around condition with mount holes on all four corners. Presently set up with 1/4" Parker quick release swivel elbows but is ported for 3/8" NPT.
