Up for auction is a Franklin Electric 5hp/ 230v Pump Motor(only) This model: 2243035202 Pump Motor weighs over 60 pounds. Runs at 3450 RPM and is equipped with Lightning Arrestors! It's in good condition. Its stainless steel casing has some minor scratches; yet, no dings or dents. The Shaft and screw threads are in excellent condition. This Franklin Electric Pump Motor has a 4" diameter and is right at 30" long. It's from the estate sale of an irrigation worker. He removed this Motor along with it's pump(which is damaged) He assured me the motor runs fine. I also took it(Motor) to an Electric Motor Repair Shop. And had it tested. Please note, my terminology may not be correct; yet, this is what occurred at the repair shop: First they checked the Motor(wires) out with a multi-meter. Next, they connected some capacitors ... moreand some little circuit-board to one of Motor's wires, then attached the wires to a device which controlled/ adjusted volts, amps etc. I was instructed to hold"my foot" snugly on the pump, and that it would have quite a jolt, when it came on! It did! It ran fine-quiet and smooth(after the initial jolt) They stated that it was pulling the right amps and something about pump load etc. They also said it should have a Control Box. I apologize for the lengthy description. Anyway. It works. Now. I also have the Pump, which is damaged.
