12 volt hydraulic lift gate power unit with ram
I bought this unit several years ago to build a press break. I never got around to starting that project. This was from a truck lift gate I was told that it is an 8 ton unit. I don't know a lot about it other than it does work. I did look at the motors brushes and they look like they have had very little use they are in almost new looking condition, the motor runs very smoothly. the hydraulic pumps very well as I tested it and it shot a stream of fluid across my work shop. After I removed the hydro line. the unit has no sign of any leaks, I don't really want to ship unit as the unit plus ram weigh 82 lbs the ram is 12" x 4" over all the dimension is 21" long X 8" high and 7" wide. it does have a number on the motor MFX4001 S- 12\ I think it would be good to make a dump truck. Log Splitter Pump, Gas Engine, Reservoir, Briggs & Stratton, Hydraulic Unit Part
I have decided to clean out unneeded items in my shed and here are a few of them. I was going to build a log splitter but have lost interest and don't have the time any more. What I have up for auction is a Briggs& Stratton 5hp gas side shaft engine that runs good. Approximately a 5 gallon oil reservoir with return filter, a large double shaft pump off of a grain truck that had a dump bed on it and this pump powered two 6" dual stage cylinders. This pump has a lever and valve built into it. Positions of the lever are lift, hold& neutral. It was cable operated from the truck cab. This makes it nice to start the engine under no load or let it idle to cool down with a pump like this.You will need a two way valve to use with this pump to operate a two way or dual acting cylinder.
