Rare Antique Vintage WC Wilcox Crittenden Hand Operated Brass Bilge Pump or Oil
For bid is this used Antique Vintage WC Wilcox Crittenden Hand Operated Brass Bilge Oil Pump boating. I do not know what this is actually used for except I know its a Brass Hand Pump made by WC/ Wilcox Crittenden. I have looked a few times on Ebay and have not seen this one with the 9" metal flex hose with brass tip. I have only seen the hand bilge pumps. As you see in the picture 6 it is marked. WC. In picture 1 you can see the pump with the metal flex hose turned to the left, it can be straight or turned where you need it, picture 5 shows the metal hose closer. Picture 2 shows the lower section apart, it screws together. This is about 26 3/4" long(with tube straight) with the pump handle pulled out it would be about 35 3/4" long. As you see in the pictures I did polish the brass and looks good. It does have some scuf/scratches(hard ... moreto see being polished) This would be good for maybe use, the collector or for display. Up for bids at auction: Up for bids is this antique cast iron. Cedar Rapids Well Pump. This pump was a barn frind from an old farm estate in Sotuhern iowa and appears to have been repainted a few years back. It has a little paint loss, here and there- nothing too serious and other colors are visible under the red in spots where paint has been worn away. The pump is marked with raised, embossed lettering that reads, CEDAR RAPIDS IA" on one side of the stem and"CHANDLER" on the other; as well as having embossed part numbers on the various pieces of the pump and the words, PAT. OCT 4-1904" embossed on the neck. The way it sits now, the pump displays beautifully and would make an eye-catching piece in any collection either as décor or reclaimed hardware. The handle raises, lowers and works just as it should and the pump ... morecould easily be reconditioned to pump water. There is an old chip out of the cast iron base, it was that way when we found it but there are still three bolt holes for fastening the pump down solid to a platform and everything will work just fine- along with that; as you can see in the pictures, the handle was obviously repaired at one time. Its an old repair and nobody will notice either sitting out in the garden or when they're using it to pump water. Overall height from the base of the pump to the top of the handle is 45 inches. ENERPAC P-391 Hydraulic Hand Pump Single Stage w/C-57 Ram Cylinder 5 Ton 10,000
I bought this at an estate sale. As you can see. It has been used. It does work, cylinder extends and retracts as it should. I don't see any leaks in it anywhere by pumping it up and releasing it. Pic 7 shows part of one of the back foot that has been broken off. Pic 7 shows some electrical tape that I wrapped the hose in. The outer rubber protective part had splits or cuts in it, so I wrapped it with electrical tape. We both know that if the inner hose was cut, that electrical tape would not stop the hydraulic fluid from coming out. So, I didn't tape it because the inner hose was damaged, I taped it to keep the protective coating from getting ripped off, since it is important for the inner hose. If you use these, you know, they get thrown in a van or truck and roughed up alot, so the missing paint, scratches or bangs are already ... morein this one and will be in the one that has paint after it has been used and abused.
