For sale is one used Goulds constant pressure 1/3 HP well pump. This pump was in use for a number of years on an occasional basis at a vacation home. It was removed from use and placed in storage when we had to deepen the well and increase the capacity of water volume. Goulds made and still does make some of the best pumps in the world. Ive had Goulds pumps that were in constant operation for 5 years or more without being shut off. I have not tested the pump since it was placed in storage because I do not have an open well to test it on and I do not have the time to remove my primary pump to test this one. I would call this new.But can't because it was on a pump for maybe 1 weeks use. Casting(59420) this is the number that is cast into the casing. Some Goulds part diagrams show casting number as 59240. This is a typo that I confirmed with Goulds. Correct casting number is what you see in the photo-59420. There is no need to buy a new casing when you can buy a used one at a fraction of the cost. Goulds Jet pumps are made to last a lifetime and thats because they can easily be rebuilt with repair parts. Goulds makes replacement parts for pumps that are 30 years old or more. This casing is used,but will function just like new. Any rust you see in photos is just surface rust that will not effect the working ... moreof the pump. If you purchase this, let me know if you want the nozzle and diffuser. Nozzle is a(AN018) and diffuser is part# AD3336. Used but working GOULDS Shallow Well Jet Pump Series 6179. Pump model CEP70ABN Motor Model C48J2DB11C3. 8.6 amps@ 110Volt/ 4.0 Amps@ 220 Volt(Single Phase) 3450 RPM. Removed from my own house where it has worked without fail for us for over 12 years. Just me& my wife live here and the old lady we bought the house from lived alone. So it hasnt been running constantly and still has plenty of good life in it. Not sure how old it is but the owner of the well company that did our new well said he personally installed it for the previous owner and did all the service& maintenance until we moved in and said it was good to resell. We needed to dig a new 250 foot deep well so this couldnt be reused here or it would still be in service. The rust stains you see are from a leaking pressure gauge which had a pinhole leak in the bottom so it wasnt ... morenoticed for a while. Although it caused some significant staining, it did NOT cause any damage to the motor or pump and the rust is only superficial. The pump, motor and all components are NOT affected by the rust stains. Comes with Square D Pumptrol which is also working properly. The pix show it well and it hasnt been cleaned up to look better than what it is. Only the threads have been cleaned with a Dremel wire wheel to remove the teflon and pipe dope so you could see they arent stripped or rusted out. The well water was tested several times over the last 10 years and it was always netural so there shouldnt be any pitting or scale build up inside the pump caused by high or low pH water. I also had a pleated fabric 1 micron filter on the system(directly after the pump) and it was never rusty or unusually dirty from sediment in the well and only needed replacing about 1X a year. Its been out of service for several months so its completely dry inside; you should flush it out before connecting it to your system just in case there is any loose flakes of dry stuff inside. Pump drained the well to, but not past the motor, so'veins' filling well didn't recover; Thus s-l-o-w to refill with enough water for our liking. We've since drilled a new, artesian well which this won't work with due to its new depth. Tested& Guaranteed to work!
