This is a 4 cylinder. Air-Cooled Diesel engine. This engine is equipped with a control panel that controls the ignition/starting controls, Oil pressure, Ampere Meter, Engine Temp. Alternator Failure Warning light, Tachometer and Hour meter. The oil pressure gauge has a low pressure shutdown safety feature, and the engine temp. gauge has a safety feature that shuts the engine down if it over heats for any reason, the tach and hour meter need to be hooked up again. This engine unit is equipped with a pre-start package for cold weather starts. Which is a separate control switch on the engine panel that operates a fuel solenoid and glow plug, both of which are located in the intake runner. The glow plug heats the intake air up and also sprays diesel fuel onto the glow plug so the engine draws warm air and fuel into the cylinders during a cold ... morestart. I tested the cold start cycle and everything appears to work very well. This unit is mounted on a heavy duty steel base. With a lifting bail and complete fuel tank incorporated in it. This unit was powering a 6" de-watering pump in a gold mine at Porcupine Creek for Dakota Fred on the mining show"Gold Rush" This engine/base/fuel tank set up would make a great generator setup or another de-watering pump, tractor/ skid loader engine, etc! This engine is a near identical copy of the Deutz F4L style air-cooled diesel engine.Although it is NOT a Deutz, it is Manufactured by Torpedo engine manufacturing. Also many engine parts appear to be interchangeable with Deutz engine parts. The engine has a brand new starter on it and the alternator appears to be fairly new. The engine tag says Torpedo Engine, 53 kW, which is approx 75 HP. This engine starts. Idle's and runs perfect. I have a 4" diesel 55hp Gorman rupp trailer mounted water/ trash pump. Has a 55hp Deutz diesel engine. The engine starts up and runs great with no problems. The water pump works great and pumps awesome. The only thing it needs is a camlok fitting on the discharge end. And one ear it broke off on the camlok suction fitting. It also needs the line that goes to the oil pressure gauge as it has a small hole wore in it from the vibration, and could use a new muffler.Easy fix. Has new wheel bearings. This is a Surplus Military Pump with only 15 hours of operation 3 of which I ran it for testing. Pump will move 350 GPM at 275 feet of head( App 120 PSI) This pump has been professionally serviced and thoroughly tested. This is a used machine and shows normal signs of wear and tear, some light rust, paint chipping and weathering. Pump will be serviced with new filters and oil and run tested. Tires are like good. Selling this Godwin HL5. Dri-Prime, High Head Pump. It's powered by a Lister 6 cyl air cooled diesel. Godwin HL5 4x6 pump end with priming assisted compressor. Will deliver up to 1400 GPM Will pump up to 400' head or 180 psi. Will pull suction lift up to 25' Check out other specs on Godwin website. Has 6x4 reducer on suction side. And male/ female Bauer connections. Oil Filled Dry Running Mechanical seal. Was an ex stand by pump in a refinery. No hour meter. I don't think it has many hours on it though. Pump end seems fine. Mechanical seal is full of clean oil so I don't think there is any issues w/ pump end. No excessive clearance, everything turns smooth. Compressor turns and seems to make good air flow. Oil is clean. It has a full 100 gallon tank of diesel fuel. Which is $400 right there! This sat for a long time without ... morebeing run. I had the engine turning over and making smoke. But did not get it to fire. There is a bad oil leak at front crank seal/ oil pan. Probably needs fuel filters. And that issue fixed before it will run. I didn't have a big enough battery on hand to crank it fast enough. Trailer tires hold air but have bad dry cracks. I thought I'd list it as is. At a deep discount, before I started sinking money and time into it. These pumps sell for close to $40,000 new! Should be an easy fix, or use it as parts.
